BEST BREAKFAST IN PARIS - Room service at Le Meurice

- Yes, this is the third Paris breakfast video I've posted but they're all just so amazing. This is another great breakfast I had at Le Meurice (www.dorchester..., truly the best hotel in Paris. It sits across from the Tuileres Gardens, which used to be a palace. The hotel was opened in 1835 so foreign royalty and dignitaries would have a proper place to stay when visiting the palace across the street (and the Louvre, which was also a palace then). The hotel is home to a restaurant by Alain Ducasse who also oversees all the food.
Breakfast there is so good because of the freshness and quality of each individual item. From the fresh butter to the orange juice to the freshest of fresh fruit to the hot croissants, each thing is just delicious.

I wish I could wake up every day to a superb breakfast, such as this, wheeled to my room and ready for my dining pleasure. What a treat to see actual silverware on the table. It seems rare these days to actually see it very often. I am a bit perplexed however to find a knife on both sides of the plate. Knives are always to right. Just can't figure that one out.

Thanks for watching and I wish I could live there and wake up to it everyday too!! Two knives were probably for first and second course. They take one away after you use it for the starter or first course.

Wow! Did you order all of those things a la carte or is there an all-inclusive room service breakfast option? How much did this breakfast cost?
I think I got the American breakfast (62 euro) which included most of the stuff you see. I think I added the ham or bacon. I also got the Alain Ducasse hot chcoclate (16 euro). With taxes and surcharges and all that stuff, it was probably 140 euro. I am a travel writer and was hosted by the hotel.

In terms of what was served or in terms of how it was served? Remember this was my real breakfast so the items were the things I ordered to eat.

isnt this just an english breakfast with fruit, and yoghurt...i was hoping the french would eat fancier things.
I'm sure they have a lot of fancy stuff on the menu but this was what I wanted and I'm not French. It's just a wonderful example of exactly what I like to eat for breakfast personally but unbelievably fresh versions of each item. Breakfast is a bad habit. Coffee and juice are well enough. Leave stomach at peace for 12 hours at least.
I must disagree. When we are traveling, we will be leaving and walking for miles and miles. We need good fuel for nutrition since it's like working out all day in the gym. Just like a farmer has a hearty breakfast before heading out to work in the fields all day. Thanks for watching!
