This album is one of my all time favs! Dio is so good! Iommi was writing some amazing riffs at the time, and Geezer and Powell held down the rhythm, and it rocked hard! Love that album!
Dehumanizer is awesome. It has everything a Dio-fronted Sabbath album needs to have. Don't know why some ppl like H&H and Rules, but not Dehumanizer? It's awesome
I think the songs on the first two Dio records are more pop oriented in their structure and melody. More memorable overall. But you’re right Dehumanizer is a great record.

cozy was during the demo compositions and recordings then he had a horse riding accident and couldn't record the actual album so he was replaced by Vinnie. Demo sessions with Powell yielded numerous recordings, including two unreleased songs - "The Night Life" (also called "Next Time"), whose riff was later used for "Psychophobia" on Cross Purposes, and "Bad Blood", which sounds very similar to "I" on Dehumanizer.
@Dan Maler Implying Dio somehow lost his power and range. Dio never gave a bad performance, live or in studio. In fact, I'd argue Dio got better as he got older. He certainly didn't get worse, and if you think he did, you clearly never listened to his live performances in the 2000s. The Radio City Music Hall video is proof enough that Ronnie still had power and range near the end of his life. Also, the Devil You Know is a masterpiece.
He definitely lost something by the time of the last Heaven and Hell DVD. I would describe it as, he was chopping off part of the notes. If it mattered, I would take the time to figure out just what was the difference, but there certainly was one.
great track better than many of the ones included on the DEHuMaNiZER album which was not that good, half of the songs were boring. it was heavy and that's all.

What was the story on Cozy being on this track, though Vinny Appice got the album credit?
@@bullwinkle60 cozy was the drummer, but he was injured in a house riding accident and vinny was brought in. also he wasn't getting on with dio
@@harrydavies8340 Butler also didn't like Cozy's more aggressive style from what I have been told so, they didn't wait for Cozy to get better.
