    I should've gone with this one instead of the s22 ultra. This one still has an SD card slot

      @ThatVoidDude no I didn't. It's a tad bit worse than my s9. Random restarts (option is turned off), vibrations weak, fingerprint scanner fails to recognize around 50% of the time, pictures and videos are MASSIVE in size, phone gets too hot while charging, 128gb doesn't last as much and phone lags too much.
      I restart my phone every month to keep it nice and running but it still randomly reboots twice, maybe 3 times a week.
      I made sure to enroll my fingerprint so it doesn't miss. Still does.
      A single picture is at around 5mb for some reason. Location tags are off. At 4:3.
      Can barely feel my phone vibrate despite it being at its strongest setting.
      I use a 10w charging brick, it shouldn't be getting that hot. It's in a cool, fresh place.
      Phone just lags. Do I want to type this comment? Phone starts stuttering. Do I wanna restart the phone to solve the problem? Too bad it's not gonna show me the power options. Do I want to see my notifs? Phone decides that it wants to show me the wallpaper instead.

      Xperia iv faster than s22 ultra Especially after a period of use for at least two months
      Also the speakers in 1 iv clearer and with 360 audio can not be compared with s22 ultra speakers , s22 ultra speakers It looks like an average phone when I compare it to Xperia1iv , There are a lot of things Sony beats Samsung like colors display , Sony has an creator mode and x1 mobile color and 4k 120 hz display and don't forget sd card slot and 3.5 headphon jack
      Also Much less weight than s22 ultra and comfortable in the hand

    Hello. Thank you for a detailed teardown. What do you think, regarding Xperia 5 iv, is it worth to open the case and try to replace the cpu and memory chips heat transfer plastic with a good thermalpaste or, maybe, copper foil? Is there a risk that the display would become overheated?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, thank you. You can if you want, but make sure the thermal paste is not a highly conductive one since some are conductive while others aren't and if it leaks onto anything around it, it can short. I don't think the display would overheat.

    I am sorry to say that your video production budget is somewhat wasted on this phone. Well, I mean to be constructive here.
    I have found a teardown of this phone half a year ago on another TH-cam channel, linked here th-cam.com/video/Zukzc2YeaP4/w-d-xo.html
    Exclusivity is the one of the key values of your coverage. I do appreciate the many exclusive teardown videos that I have watch on this channel over the years. However I must say, by not making a video on this phone, you can bring another piece of exclusive content to this channel. I would like to see a teardown of the Xperia 5 IV. Due to the removal of the periscope camera and the addition of wireless charging, it brought more drastic changes from the 5 III than going from 1 III to IV. The 1 IV and III are quite similar to each other.

      @PBKreviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Are you able to remove the power button / fingerprint reader assembly without taking the battery out? It looks like it might be able come out, but I can't tell for sure.
    Mine has recently started failing, and Sony's support has been less-than-helpful, so I'm going through the process of fixing it myself. If I gotta take the battery out, might as well replace it with a new one as well. Thanks in advance!

    Hello. I have a question. I am planning to purchase the Sony Xperia 1 V in silver, which is only available in global version. The issue is I live in the US. In the US, we only get black or green available. My question is the following:
    If I purchase a US version model and global version model, would it be possible to move or swap the internals of the US model into the silver global model? Would it function like a US version?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah for the most part you should be able to do that. Some different region devices will have different antenna setups but that usually is on the plastic covers internally and the sub boards/charger port boards etc. Rarely would there be a difference in the actual frame of the phone antenna wise. So as long as you swap all the components internally from one to the other, should work fine.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Happy new year. I don't think gluing the screen to the phone would help it be shock proof, if anything it might made it worst. As for water proof, if the phone is not water resistant, then it can still get in from earpiece speaker, loud speaker, sim tray or any other openings like mic hole etc. You're better off getting a phone like the Galaxy XCover pro or similar durable and water resistant phones which offer rugged designs as well as water resistance.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm not sure the exact temp, but you can always use a hair dryer to be on the safe side and just heat it up gradually till its hot to the touch and apply more heat if needed while working your way around prying it off.

It is a bit thicker but also shorter, which leaves quite some empty space between the battery. I am now trying to find out what the precise dimensions are of the 5000mAh battery in the 1iv and 5iv.
    4000mAh dimensions are: 76.6 x 59.8 x 4.8 mm (L x W x T), 4500mAh: 74.4 x 59.8 x 5.2 mm.
