Liked and subscribed! Appreciate this bro. I’ve been making Shadowverse Evolve proxies since BP04 came out. It just got too expensive, but I still love playing the game. I usually just create my templates and print my proxies at an Office Depot, but they kinda suck. I’m looking to step up my proxy game and start making better quality ones on my own. I was wondering what printer would be best to get. I read that laser jets with eco tanks would be best if you’re only printing once in a while. What do you think?
Thanks for watching man, I have heard laser printers are really good and with the eco tanks you won't have the issue of ink cartridges drying out. If you are printing on regular paper there shouldn't be an issue but if you want to print on sticker paper or holographic paper just make sure it says laser printer on them.
I’ve found that the most customizable way to do holo proxies specifically is to print on transparent sticker paper. You can then use acetone on whatever Pokémon or magic cards to get some printing off for some real holo, use a white paint marker on a perfect fit penny sleeves to mark out where you don’t want holo (text and the character), then layer the print onto the sleeve. Now you have a card that doesn’t trash a holo base, can be reused, and can exist outside of a deck sleeve, since the perfect fit will center your card perfectly on your print without needing a second sleeve to keep it in place
The template should be set up to the correct size for the cards already, you just need to right click and replace image or drag and drop the card image into the slot in the file. Also make sure you print actual size or your printer will make the cards too small.
can you use the sticker paper and use over real cards, would like to get some translucent ones and put it over holographic pokemon ones since pokemon holofoil is kinda specific, also could you just use bulk cards instead of the paper or would it be too thick?
You can definitely put the stickers over regular pokemon cards, it is a bit more tricky just because you have to make sure everything lines up correctly but definitely doable. All my custom One Piece Don!! cards are stickered over regular One Piece cards. It does make the cards a bit thicker, 60 cards take up the same space as about 80-90 cards so it makes them about an extra half thickness. They don't feel any different in the hand you can only tell if you look at your sleeved proxy deck compared to a regular 60 card non-proxy deck.
Hello! First this was helpful video, when I zoom in the ppt file for my cards the quality looks perfect, but whenever I save it as pdf whenever I zoom in the quality just became so blurry, is that normal?

When you go to print usually at the bottom of the screen or you may have to click more there is an option for size. It is automatically set to something like "shrink to fit" or something like that. You need to click "actual size" to get it to print the right size. No idea why it does that but all printers do it. I talk about it at 3:40.
You just put it into google slides, everyone on the internet has access to google slides. If you have a google account, which you do if you have youtube you have a way to open the file.
@@prodigioustcc So eventually ive done all of that. I ve bought the paper in your description. Only one issue is with the "Holographic Sticker"...... the colours stays on firm and dries but the black ink seems to get removed little by little with damp fingers when applying force or rubbing it. Im assuming this is a common thing. on the "Vinyl Matte Sticke" everything stays on fine. Will just use normal and non holographic from now on.
I let my holographic sticker paper dry for over an hour then cut it and apply it. Then it goes right into a sleeve to try and keep it looking the best it can. The holographic stuff is very persnickety but looks good if you can get it to work correctly.
I have a HP printer but would not recommend it, the Epsons are good printers. My HP printer needs too much paper at the bottom to hold onto to print so it cuts off the third row of cards. I can only print 2 rows on a sheet so there is a lot of waste when I make proxies unfortunately. I would steer clear of all HP printers and go for an Epson or something else if you can.
The green knife board is called a self healing cutting mat, you can find them on amazon and they usually come with an exact knife. There should be a link in the description to see what they look like.
The PowerPoint file has the correct sizes built in to the template. Just make sure when you print it, it prints as actual size not fit to page or scaled. It is usually in the more settings when printing.
What kind of template were you looking for? When I proxies Shadowverse I download the cards from their website and put them into the power point file and print them like that.

@soooooTASTY I found a digital scan of the card back, then cropped it to size, crushed the blacks and increased the contrast. The back originally looked grey but a few adjustments here and there brought it back to life lol.
