Glad that Mercedes didn't make any radical changes of its exterior styling (especially when it comes to aerodynamics). It looks recognizable and kept the design language of what the G-wagon looked like since it was introduced in the early 80s. More manufacturers should do this design approach if they don't want to completely change the look of a vehicle just because of the aerodynamics. One other example of this is the Ford F-150 Lightning still looks like an F-150, but the Silverado EV looks more like an Avalanche than the ICE version of the Silverado.
Remember guys, this vehicles purpose is to lower the average mpg of the g wagon lineup so mercedes can keep the v8 as long as possible. Much like how ford does with the mustang
Since this vehicle is designed for off-roading, it seems like a missed opportunity to make the "backpack" on the back of the vehicle an actual emergency battery that could get you another 20-30 miles if needed-something like a jerry can that can store some extra fuel.

The G Turn says hey crab walk hold my beer lol that is absolutely wild! Overall this thing is pretty sweet with all the new upgrades in tech. Rear seat with the screens is cool. That backpack thing is unique. Mercedes did a nice job with this...aside from that silly puddle light lol

Many will hate the electric G wagon but it was time to have a version like this. Makes as much sense as the V8 AMG version, even with the current decline in EV sales, this will have its market.
Props to MB for being bold enough to make this to production, but I fear I not only won't sell that well, but also would probably be the fastest depreciating G Wagon in the brand history just for being electric. On the other side, Northern European rich people would love it. This model will be a lot cheaper than the base petrol version due to taxes to polluting cars

My 2021 G550 has adaptive cruise control so they have had that for years but hes right about the keyless go. It's kinda crazy pulling out my keys to get into my overpriced 2021 G-Wagen but I can just walk up and pull the door handle with the keys in my pocket on my 2013 VW GTI.
I'm sure this will be a hit among all the environmentally conscious G Wagen owners. All 3 of them
