    The indirect free kick given at 4:07 on Hector - you never see those these days why? The offside goal did not look offside. Nowadays we have the “assist” shown on all stats - what is all that about?

    • @dsj82
      @dsj82 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I have thought about that too. Weren't thoes freekicks back then given, if the foul was made inside the penalty box, but with no direct chance of scoring?. They should really need to bring thoes freekicks back given these VAR times. A non intentuell hand ball for example, should release a indirect freekick inside the box instead of a penalty kick and everybody is HAPPY.

    Brilliant, remember this when 5. My team was Bolton wanderers. But dad saying Brilliant Brilliant! Franny Lee. What a good side Derby were, i think won the Championship that year. I seem to remember listening to the second leg on the radio , which in them days were so mystical. Putting the images in your head, to be there, imagining what is was like in the Famous Real Madrid Bernerbu Stadium. But, if i remember Real Madrid probably gave the Referee a brand new Rolex watch !!!

      Yes you are right we did win the title about five months earlier. Doubt it will happen again in my lifetime though. I would recommend Franny Lees punch up with Norman Hunter if you have not already seen it.Sure the video is on here . It only happened about two weeks after this game. Perhaps a 10 match ban these days.They had to paint the penalty spot in during one game not long after, simply because the pitch was like a swamp.

    • @sunsetblue1759
      @sunsetblue1759 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yes - but remember 2 differences to the rules back then -
      1. Level was OFFSide. today level is ONside.
      2. A player did not have to be interferring with play to be offside. So the other Real player was further forwards and could have been the offside player.
      But yes, at 7:17:75-ish, it's close, but onside.

      José Antonio Ruiz Reina if that game had ended 3-2 or even 2-2 I would have been happy. But when Derby played Juventus in 1973, there was probable match fixing that went against Derby. Derby have passionate supporters. But we are a small club and rarely play in international games. So I will accept and good fortune.
