    Very good video sir. I ordered a 2023 Levo SL Comp Carbon today to replace my 2020 Levo SL Alloy that has served me very well for the past three years (5,500 miles).

    👏Sam, you are probably the best test driver of all in my opinion, when you compare with the difference and changes on updates between year models and also pick out negative and expensive changes that are added when rims and crank arms have to be changed.
    so thumbs up for you👍😊

    Finally an SL with some power! I like that it's quiet. So tough to ride with the brakes not being moto style. It's cool that Specialized incorporated all of the adjustable parts of the regular Levo. Looks like it's going to be a great option!

    • @Andomaca1

      @@LastAphelion My thoughts also, fully power and big battery. Wild seems like the better option

    • @Mcfc2Rich
      @Mcfc2Rich ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't buy a bike solely on motor and battery. The main thing for me and many others is the frame. It's the most expensive part. The bit where the most research goes and the bit that makes a bike a bike.
      People faced them off Levo SL (22) Vs Orbea Rise and they still picked the old Levo because of how it performed.

    • @nodaysoff23
      @nodaysoff23 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Little Teapot 4kg = 8.8 lbs. Analog to midpower is 8lb jump or so, then add another 8 for a Wild. Each jump you lose traditional mtb feel. And those weights are top tier models in medium frame. Wild is a great bike but it doesn't ride like one. All depends if you're fine with a lead sled, who your rife with as well as your local trail system. Eg bike park or trail center. I made the jump from analog to midpower and am fully satisfied. I rarely use boost as I find it too artificial and not needed except to speed up long climbs. Only the SL riders get range anxiety and fall behind.

  • @sk7262
    @sk7262 ปีที่แล้ว

    why are EMTBs the same price as a road/trail bike? i want one but given the choice i'd get a road trail at the blink of an eye and not worry about charging just lob 5l in and there's the next 100km.

  • @roddas26
    @roddas26 ปีที่แล้ว

    For me the sizing is off. Currently on a Kenevo SL S5 with a reach of about 510.
    The new Levo SL S5 has a reach of 495, which I find cramped.. And the size up S6 has a 525 reach a little to long.
    Just thankful I have the Kenevo

    Who makes the motor ?
    Did Specialized create a sub division of their company and create this motor or did they hire a sub contractor to make it according to their specs or what and how long has this motor been tested ?
    I assume it isn't made by Brose , or ?
    The introduction of new motors always makes me pause . has the motor gone through rigorous in house testing or are the riders the test subjects as was the case with the early Brose motor .
    Sorry sam , but a little dissent adds some spice to the thread . 😂

    • @SamsBikes
      @SamsBikes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mate its 100% Specialized SL.12 and it made in conjunction with Mule but its 100% exclusive to Specialized

    • @siriosstar4789
      @siriosstar4789 ปีที่แล้ว

      ok, sounds good . let's see how it turns out after it is ridden many km . You remember the horror stories from the early Brose motors , but it appears that they have sorted it out . i'm a bit of a skeptic and tend to wait and see how reliability pans out .
      it's almost scary how many different motors there are now . will there be good service for all of these motors ? i assume there will be as Specialized is a huge company .

    Rien de réellement nouveau ici. Specialized a seulement emmené son velo au niveau de la competition, à mon avis.
    Une batterie de seulement 320wh, c'est insuffisant. Et ne parlont pas de range extender, qui vient augmenter le poids du velo et annuler l'avantage du poids réduit.
    Le poids est bon, ainsi que la geometrie variable.
    Mais il y a plusieurs option plus interessantes comme le nouveau Giant, Orbea rise, Pivot shuttle sl....
    Je peux comprendre que les fans d'une marque en particulier soit emballés quand ce manufacturier arrive avec un produit competitif.
