I got 2 dlink dsl-2750u, so i tried to restore backup of first one to second one, after that it got bricked i think. Now power led comes first then lan 1,2,3,4 and other two lights it repeats forever, there is no wifi signal, when connected to pc via lan it show as identifying network and comes for 2-3 seconds and goes, please help me to reset
Dear Subhasis, I too bricked the same router as you and there are no LED lights. However, it does show as "Unidentified Network" when connected to the computer with a LAN cable. When I type 192.168.1.1, it is unable to open the admin login. Will I need to use USB To RS232 TTL or is there another way? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
Connect router via lan cable with lan IP 192.168.1.XX and ping 192.168.1.1 -t. after that press & hold reset button and power on and still hold reset button until valid ping reply . then open in your browser 192.168.1.1 and flash the firmware,. If this method not work u can try rs232 methid

Its mac address is permanently changed to 00:10:18:00:00:00 which is the chip default or something. Do you know if there's a way, I can change that mac address? In the current situation, the router is starting up but of no use because there's no network. Appreciate your help. Thanks!

It means that the command is not reaching to the router. May be the following issue... 1. Change the RX and TX connection and try again. or 2. TTL converter speed and flow control did not matched with putty. set as same as putty speed devices manager>TTL converter>(Right Click) advance>port settings>OK.

Pull up means - connection between TX / RX and 5v/3.3V by a resistor (maybe 1K,10k or etc ohm). It is using while command signal is very weak. Pull down means- connection between TX / RX and GND by a resistor (maybe 1K,10k or etc ohm). But pull up and pull down not need in this case. I think that the TX, RX, GND and VCC connection was not right ( may be I wrong) Try again by changing all cables serially all sequence.

Hello! I have a DLink 2750U. Whenever I switch it on for a fraction of a second it shows green power light and then switches to red power light permanently. After assigning manual IP address, if I visit 192.168.1.1 - it shows the firmware upgrade page which is /upload.html. Here, after uploading the firmware it moves to a different page which is upload.cgi, it shows that firmware is being flashed into memory and router will restart in 2 minutes. After this router restarts but it's still the same, red power light and firmware upgrade screen. The hardware version is C1. Last it was working fine I had NRU firmware [ftp://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/ADSL/DSL-2750U/Firmware/Rev.C/1.0.14/DSL_2750_v1.0.14_cfe_fs_kernel] flashed in it. It worked good 3-4 years for me. If possible, I need help in recovering it back to normal. Thank you!

What is the chip number of TTL converter?
The command can't reach to router, u may need pull up or pull down TX or RX.

You have some magic touch, man. The router has boot up in the state it was last but is reset. I'm not sure, how long will this last though...
