Excellent.. I was able to de-brick my Archer C6 V2 router, which got bricked after attempting to switch from OpenWRT to stock firmware.. Wireshark really helped in identifying the network issue..
Double check you guys downloading the correct firmware (“Archer A7” in my case). On the label of the router should say if it’s c7 or A7,… V5, V4… etc. And holding rest before turning on router. The firmware name on the TFTP-Root for mine was still “ArcherC7v5_tp_recovery.bin” even though my firmware is A7.
This is an awesome video... Accidentally I flash the wrong firmware in AC 1750. I follow this video it's perfectly working and I am able to bring it alive ....that bro keeps it.
any solution for c50 v4 ? nothing worked for me, I am officially frustrated, the stock fw flashed with tftp but the router won't boot properly, the power LED is the only thing that is working by now :(
Bro thankyou very much, you pulled me from the deepest chambers of hell. I felt really fucked up when I bricked my system. Trying to immediately flash to openwrt also did not work for me. Just going straight to TP-Link (so not first openwrt) and flash openwrt firmware from the TP-Link web interface was the solution for me. Fr thankyou so much. For those who get the black ICMP "Destination unrechable (Port unreachable)" message: I tried using a different tftp program called tftpd. Selected the destination of my firmware file, selected the network and turned on my router while holding the reset button. Then it started the transfer. All for the C7 AC1750 V5
I following the instructions exactly as described, but regardless of how many times I change the computer's Ethernet IP address to the one specified, Solarwinds doesn't identify the address, and instead defaults to 0.0/24. If I try adding another one, it will change the values to 0.0/whichever port I declared. It refuses to altogether bind into 0.66, no matter what I do :c is there something I'm doing wrong? I only have the default Realtek controller that was provided with the laptop, so the computer lists the bluetooth controller, the ethernet one, and the wifi, with only the ethernet enabled but still not working
Hello, My router is a Tp-Link M7350 mobile router and doesn't have an ethernet outlet. It starts and stucks at showing the Tplink logo and doesn't boot. Is it a chance to flash it back? The reset button didn't worked. Thanks for a tip.

I did it for wr941 hp and it worked. After making the port settings, when the modem is turned off, hold down the reset button and press the power button, the modem goes into flash mode. Change the name of the bin file you downloaded. like "TLWR941HPv2_tp_recovery.bin"

After flashing the original firmware, and getting the last block, my router goes back to a state where The LEDS stay on for 1 second, then they go off for 2-3 seconds. I followed all steps you mentioned, I even tried loading dd-wrt firmware as someone said they tried that and worked for them... nothing seems to be restoring my router, what is your guess about this please??
I have a TP Link range extender RE220. After a firmware update it restarted but now only the power light is on. Nothing else happens. It does not even reset using the reset button. Can you help me?

Make sure that your LAN is configured to run at 10 or 100 mbps, I had the same issue. LAN on my Motherboard is setup to 1 GBPS so I didn't get any reading on TFTP, after I changed the speed to 10 Mbps, it worked for me.

Sir you are a lifesaver, I got a Archer A7 from eBay and updated FW via the webportal which went wrong. Now it's alive again.
Had a hell of a time getting my TFTP server to actually serve the files, but once that was done it was easy. Thanks for your tutorial.

Im trying to flash OpenWRT to Archer C2 (AC750) but always got error like "TIMEOUT waiting for Ack block" in tftp64. Any idea what im doing wrong?

Unfortunately lights are not booting. Only glowing when pressing reset.
Also in protocol it's just showing tftp not udp like yours.
This only works if your device is still able to turn on am I right?
