When you go to DLINK support website www.dlink.com/en/support , there's a chat button on the bottom right of the screen. Chat with an agent to get the firmware and then follow the steps in my video to install it
Also why do we need to decrypte the firmware and not just install the downloaded firmware. Appreciate your video a lot. I feel theres a little hope of saving it before i throw in the towel

I did exactly that, I downloaded the firmware again from the official d-link website and redid the entire process, but the same error still persists. I tested it on 2 different PCs.@@KnowledgeSharingTech

You should be able to use the decrypt program under Linux or Mac. It's just Python.

D-Link firmware is encrypted so this is why you need to decrypt it

Try redownloading it and make sure you are doing it from the official site
