I love how the woman screamed thus giving away her location. The existence of that a few feet in front of you would make anyone want to scream, but anyone with a brain would know not to scream their heads off instead of getting their ass bak into the evevator
I came on this the other day and I was utterly, utterly shocked at the number of views this has. I did the sound and music for this! I am Paul Tristram (but I go by my middle name, Owain on this). I was studying Music Technology and I had a girlfriend/friends in animation and 3d animation. They were doing this project and asked me to do the sound for it. Everyone who animated/rigged/designed the T-rex is in the video (the guy crawling at the end for example - Rhodri). I was in it too but only a brief shot as I hate being in front of the camera. I am happy to answer questions but in a nutshell: I was a third-year student at USW, Cardiff. The T-rex sound was a mixture of a shocking amount of animals (and a hoover for the roar). I accidentally left in a "meat chomp" sound at around 47 seconds which STILL haunts me to this day. The sound of him throwing his victim around at .39 seconds is a pitch-shifted-down duck. The T-Rex footsteps were doubled up with grenade explosions (you can hear it especially clearly at the end when Rhodri is hiding) There is a stupid Wilheim Scream when he smashes through the glass (because I thought I was cool). I also just had to add a TON of reverb to the end roar because they wanted it to extend over the Ffresh logo. They played it in the local VUE cinema which was the coolest day. I even bought a T-rex t-shirt to wear to the premier. I must have spent about 70 percent of my time stressing and obsessing over the roar at the end. I also think that the DOP hated me and my sounds but there we go! The music was all done on Cubase and it was the first time I had done anything orchestral. I got overwhelmed at the complexity of orchestral arranging so I used a lot of stuff from my metal compositions (diminished sweep arpeggios and low ostinatos etc) and just moved the MIDI from Guitar Pro to Cubase. But yeah, I can provide proof but I don't really know how!
@@hanbon6435 In terms of supplying proof, this one is a bit difficult! The girl leaving the elevator and the girl who got eaten first were acting students. I met them on the day and honestly never saw them again. Most of the people in this video are people who worked on the animation/fx of the dinosaur in some way or form. Sadly, those two weren't! Sorry, I wish I could have answered your question. Happy to answer any others.
