This makes 78% of Facebook Advertisers QUIT

  • Most Facebook advertisers and Instagram advertisers don't last 6 months.
    Why? That's what I cover in this video.
    Firstly, marketers enter the Meta ads space with very unrealistic expectations, which really sets them up for a fall.
    Then they pick Facebook ad markets that they simply aren't ready for yet.
    Here, I describe how to do it the right way.

    Honestly. Facebook ads stopped delivering sales for me and from what can tell many other last spring and the gurus ignored it.
    I have lots of experience and knew how to convert. Then it stopped colld and ads have not converted since no matter how many of these guru techniques we apply its now junk traffic.

    Wise words and giving us the utmost value as always, Ben! I've found my perfect target audiences and the creatives I'm using are generating fantastic results (5% CTR and around $10 CPM), however the conversions are fluctuating a lot. I've tried vertical scaling like you've mentioned in your other videos, but the results seem to be coming from low budgets (around $7/day). My audience sizes are pretty big, both over 20 million people. I know there is great potential to scale, but I feel like I'm just missing something. I'd love to hire your agency, as I know we have potential to be doing $3000 a month, however we're not there yet! Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you for everything you're bringing to us and keep doing these fantastic videos!

    • @MikeNewton1
      @MikeNewton1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your $7/day campaigns won't scale because they can't. Facebook wants you to keep paying so the algorithm has picked all the best members of your audience based on what you're willing to pay (poor ad performance means no more dollars for FB). There are only so many of those people in your audience to begin with.
      You likely need better campaigns/creatives to reach further and also a willingness to accept that your costs will rise as you start to scale--but so should your profits.

    • @Justlearn11
      @Justlearn11 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MikeNewton1 I'm having a bit of trouble making sense of this logic... How can an ad creative be bad if it's consistently getting 3 conversions at $7, but less than 3 conversions on a higher budget?

    • @MikeNewton1
      @MikeNewton1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Justlearn11 Facebook wants to spend all the money you give it, if it's able. It also wants you to keep spending money. If you’re giving it $7 then it will try to get you the best results for $7. But you can only unlock so much performance at that level. Essentially, you’re picking all the lowest hanging fruit off the tree.
      Once you have to start scaling, things get harder. As you increase your budget, you’re reaching more people. Different people. Maybe they want different ads or they’re not as ready to convert for various reasons. Perhaps other people are bidding for them in the auction as well, pushing up the price you have to pay to serve them an ad (i.e. CPM goes up). While all this is going on, Facebook is still spending all your money because that’s what you told it to do (and what it wants to do).
      Lastly, I didn’t say your ads are bad (though “make better campaigns” was the wrong way to communicate my meaning). Your ads aren’t performing the way you want. When you see poor performance, you change something about your approach. Learning more about how the auction works, different types of bid and cost strategies, and experimenting with creatives/campaigns is all a part of that.
      Not every campaign is a million-dollar campaign. It's our job as advertisers to explore and experiment until we find scale.

    • @Justlearn11
      @Justlearn11 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MikeNewton1 Thanks for clarifying your point! I appreciate your feedback. I agree, it's a game that constantly needs tweaking and tuning... The strange thing is, my CTR and CMP doesn't change when I increase the budgets, they stay at those great levels, the conversions just drop... perhaps I need to just let it run for a few days before reverting back to the lower budget. Does Meta need to recalibrate a bit with increases in budget?

    • @GoodfellaNell
      @GoodfellaNell ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Justlearn11 ur correct. Meta needs a day or so to adjust to the new high budget. Nothing is wrong with ur campaign especially if ur converting at $7/day per ad set. I hope that u ran the $7 adset for a few days for statistical significance..seeing that the conversions were consistent at $7 before scaling.

    Love your videos Ben, I’m learning so much.
    Quick question: We have a luxury jewelry store with a $3000 AOV, however our budget for a month is roughly 3k as we’re just starting out on FB.
    People say when testing you should be spending at least third of your AOV a day to expect a purchase, but for us it’s impossible at this point. What do you recommend we should do?

  • @dropshippingguru
    @dropshippingguru ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a rough formula of %profit calculation. I need you to verify. it is calculated using roas.
    Example here will be breakeven roas of 1.5 and ads roas of 2
    If breakeven roas=100% of your $ back.
    Profit margin X% will be equal to (current ads roas ×100/breakeven roas) in our example it will be 2×100/1.5 which is 133 so profit margin is 33%
    Is my formula correct?
