Very nice pontoon boat. They are very popular at the local lake. Not sure about the percentage compared to regular boats but i’m guess about 75% of new boats here are pontoons.
Great video Steve! There are a lot of features on that pontoon, how does it compare to the biggest SeaDoo Switch? I know it's not a direct comparison with the biggest Switch coming in at 21 ft, and this at 30 (? Unless I misheard). Is it worth $80k more? Is it a different kind of use? What makes the price difference make sense? Keep all the powersports videos coming, they are informative and entertaining! Cheers!
Hey Liam. A couple big differences: - The Sea-Doo Switch handles much better. It leans into a corner and is actually pretty fun to drive hard. This Bennington, like most pontoons, flat corners which is not rewarding or fun. - The Switch has the modular aspect as well, where you can reconfigure your boat any time, unlike most pontoons that you choose a layout and that's the way it always is. - The point in the Bennington's favour is the quality of the materials, and just the overall sense of luxury. The Switch sort of feels like a toy (not in a bad way), where the Bennington feels like a step above in the areas of comfort and features. It feels like a grown up boat where the Switch feels geared towards young buyers. - Not sure any of that justifies the cost of the Bennington, but there's a distinctly different feel on both of those boats.
Why isn't the drive seats on boats on the left hand side in north America? They should make it the same as the way we drive our cars. I've always thought was odd.
More boat content! Love your videos keep up the good work 👍🏻
