I used to climb and crawl all over this engine and the western Pacific passenger cars that were with it when I was a little kid. It never said southern Pacific lines, just southern Pacific. I always wanted to see that engine run again.
That silver SP observation car bares a striking resemblance to the one pulled by the Cotton Belt 819 back in 1988. Would anyone happen to know if it's the same one, or is this just a happy coincidence?

Wrong engine that was 2467 in Oakland, that engine is now in Sacramento, 2472 used to be at the San Mateo County fairgrounds
