Summary - 1) prepare high marks subject first in order max to least essay - >Optional ->Ethics> Rest of GS- >Culture
Next 2) less material is better you would get less confused in exam
3) books are not as important as exam analysis
4) everyone is studying ruthlessly you should too stop watching TH-cam and go study
5) no social media could use it just for preparation
6) I don't think yoga and meditation are needed if your will power is high and you're relaxed
7) smart work is greater than hard work in this exam

Aashima Sood Well, I have serious apprehensions about this. When I said Engineering is producing bureaucracy, I mocked on the very idea engineering per se. Though, Nehru built IITs for scientific temper, I doubt the kind of science (narrowly engineering) they are doing.
It should be a matter of great concern, not for that they are joining Bureaucracy but for IITs becoming the Den of such an activity. We really need more science, we need more Jahangir Bhabhas, more Bose (who worked with einstein), more Basu (the biologist), more Sarabhai and so on.
And about "that" they are jack of all trades. I certainly won't be convinced by this idea. Not because they are not/can not be but because they are not inculcating what Engineering stands for.
Sneha Tiwari I am a Masters (political science) student at JNU. I have just read some of articles of philosophy of science and therefore these arguments are put forth.
See when you can't provide food for poor people bcoz of shitty politics what's the point in going to Mars... Ok we engineering know the importance of research and innovation... Our people doing the best in that field too... Engineering is collection of intelligent people.. They chose their own way for development of the country.. Nd there will always be people judging... You know what innovative ability of Iit qualified ias officers has been bringing the change in terms of economy infrastructure... If you think it's politicians.. Then you are absolute wrong in first step... This civil servant may realised his path after knowing that he can't be a scientist.. But we hope that this person.. Could bring the Einsteins and Steve Jobs... Going unrecognized in poverty..

Sir, me 2 mahine se NCERT read kar rhi hu but mujhe kuch samjh nhi aa rha hai, if somebody ask any question from NCERT I can't answer.
Don't directly jump to 11, 12th NCERT. Start with 6th and it will be fun.
I think these help .
1. If a portion is not Understood, watch the explanation of that in a video.
2. Reading multiple times.
3. Solving back questions.

Saare ke saare ab engineering streem wale ias ips ifs banenge to general graduation wale kya krenge bande ne er wali trick laga di 95 % engineer stream holder became an ias officer may I not be crack this exam becoz I have English problm so plz how to increase & very well in English medium.
There are many toppers from Hindi medium, just work hard, you see more engineering grads clearing upsc is because they are working hard from 11th standard, firstly for Engineering enterance then 4 years of tough btech, their base and learning power becomes much better than 90% of Ba /Bsc grads, plus more no of engineering grads apply for UPSC than normal Grad students.
Pankaj Kumar it's not like that ki btech wale hi bante hai ias. Koi bi ban sakta hai...... Even normal BSc grad can become ias. It depends how u perform on prelims and main.
