Hey Mariano, just a minute in and here are my thoughts: - Ocean's Eleven was the first casino that I ever played live poker in! It was late 2008/early 2009, we were getting ready to deploy to Iraq. The second hand when the villain tabled 99, what hands were you representing there with that bluff? The prior bomb pot hand you lead with a flush draw from the button when 7 players checked it around to you. This hand 3 players check to you on the button, and you checked behind instead of "betting a flush draw." So on the turn, you could maybe have a Qx hand? While you could have a queen, the fact that the flop was checked around means that your range is the entirety of your preflop calling range. Hands like two pair or flopped sets wouldn't make sense to check a flop with that board and begin betting when the turn comes and all value hands just lost equity. Am I wrong to think that way?
I've seen that happen multiple times back in the day, and it's always a guy wearing sunglasses that misreads and then mucks the winner. Nothing wrong with scooping the pot since he threw his hand away.
Awesome vlog bro! Glad to see some 9 handed without plexiglass. On that QQ hand on the K767 board I’d call the turn, did you have info on SB thinking he’d trap? Would he really check AA or AK against 2 players OOP? Maybe fold riv depending on action but I’d call turn
I personally would play AA, AK and KK this way (I won't pretend I'm the best player ever, but I make 14BBs an hour at £1/£2). I make way more money in small stakes by other peoples mistakes than I do my own skill. People always overvalue their hands and I'm happy to be fired into by the person in position who my passive play has led them to think that KJ is good, or occassionally just wants to spew a couple of hundred away on a bluff. It does occassionally mean they get there, but feels comfortably profitable to me. Also as I'm SB I prefer to play AK especially way more aggressive when I'm out of position, so although sometimes I might flat AK, I'm never doing it here. I'm basically rr JJ/AQs+ as I'm fine taking it down or going heads up with a lead on action. To be honest, where it gets a little more sketchy for me is the bet out on the turn. I think on such a seemingly safe turn (pocket 7s less likely, no flush draws, only 1 straight draw, my AA can't be counterfeited by Kx), I'd check again. If they now fire you can decide your play with additional information (good to have when you're out of position). Who knows, maybe Mariano starts putting him on JJ or a weak-ish K he can blow him off of, or the guy in position wants to make a tilt. When he fires like that, especially with the raise pre, I'm putting him on AK, maybe KQ suited if he's loose, and 10s-AA, and my spidey senses are definitely tingling because I think only the AK makes tonnes of sense here. Like maybe he has AA but that's a chunky bet, I'd wanna fire $125 maybe and get the Kx to stick around and build a pot, I feel like this shuts a lot of good / tight players down with hands like QQ and K10... and again, maybe look weak and get somebody to spew. It never feels good when you play this way and somebody tries to represent 6s, and 78s type hand or a huge hand, but by now I've buckled in and if the guy has hit, he's going to get me calling twice (but in fairness, my passive play has reduced the size of pot if KK, 66 or 7x has hit because he can only get 2 streets of value, and I'm probably in check-call mode to aggression.
Had the same thing happen to me years ago with a river bluff that was busted. When I showed AQ the other player grunts and says, "Of course you caught the straight." Which indeed was false I had an Ace high with a busted straight draw. But he mucked his cards and the dealer quietly chuckled as he slid me the pot!

That AQ hand.... wow This is why I always turn my cards over bluffing or not.... I guarantee he thought you had a flush or straight..... that’s why I always let the dealers figure it out
Nice vlog. Great way to start in the bomb pot. Crazy you get one to call with set of 9’s with 4 to a straight and 3 to a flush and get another to fold winning hand AFTER he out the money in with A high. Gotta love this game!
Excellent vlog as always. I wouldn't feel bad about that situation. He made the decision to muck his hand instead of showing, that was his decision alone. I think Vegas should go 9 handed with masks. Thanks Mariano. I always look forward to your short films. 😷
Don't feel bad ... I had top pair in a large pot once and I value bet/bluffed the river and was called. I show my hand and the op sighs and throws his cards in the muck. After a couple of secs of celebrating (in my head) I hear him say to the dealer that he had 2 pair and the dealer retrieved his cards and he was awarded the pot. Everyone at the table argued that it was a clear muck but I learned that day that until the dealer puts the cards in the muck pile, the hand is live. Crown Casino Melbourne.
Where in ky? Casino poker within about 3-4 hours no matter where you are. Cherokee, Jack, Caesar's... something must be not terribly far away. That being said, plenty of very lively home games because of no casinos.

Nice vlog. Great way to start in the bomb pot. Crazy you get one to call with set of 9’s with 4 to a straight and 3 to a flush and get another to fold winning hand AFTER he out the money in with A high. Gotta love this game!
Crazy day huh?
Excellent vlog as always. I wouldn't feel bad about that situation. He made the decision to muck his hand instead of showing, that was his decision alone. I think Vegas should go 9 handed with masks. Thanks Mariano. I always look forward to your short films. 😷
Thanks Michael 👍🏼
Waiting on the next one!
Ive only ever played live at a home game setting I hope to go to a casino to play eventually no poker scene here in ky
Where in ky? Casino poker within about 3-4 hours no matter where you are. Cherokee, Jack, Caesar's... something must be not terribly far away. That being said, plenty of very lively home games because of no casinos.
I love ur content bro, kind of drone is that??

@@MarianoPoker thank u and keep up the videos please and gud luck
Def thought you had a the A high Flush and read the Q as a Spade if he mucked it. That's why, you should show, especially if you are the caller. (most of the time of course)
Everyone ... just show your hands . Love the vids man
LA poker scene is back and 8 handed. Come up to the bike or Gardens! Hit up The Bike night one, really appreciate all they did! Welcome back
Love your videos! You and Neeme are my fav
Thanks terry !
@@MarianoPoker No thank you! i love the game of poker but don't have many options where i live besides home games. The quality you put into your videos is top notch! so thank you
Where is the new content? No more poker?
What instrumental is that at beginning @mariano
He very well probably had a better hand but you can't be 100 percent sure since he mucked. There's no reason to take his word even if he did say after the fact that he had the best hand. It's poker. GG
Hey buddy I don't play anymore but love watching your vlogs. Great music choices as well. Request that you use reckless by healy on one of your vlogs. If not I'll still be watching 😊👍
