    Nice job, Mariano. I've watched all your videos as they were produced and recently re-watched them again in sequence. You've come a long way since that first one. Your poker gets better with each video, and your videography is very professional. I look forward to each new one. Thanks for taking me along on your many casino adventures.

    For the KJcc hand either squeeze or fold pre. Cold calling in the sb is rarely good, esp with this exact hand. Occasionally I will cold call the sb with medium pocket pairs and suited aces when there is a whale at the table who I want to keep in the hand. I'll try to be there friday, look forward to battling it out.

    • @paalsandmo9728
      @paalsandmo9728 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Folding is an awful advice.
      Any pro can flat KJs profitably from SB with fish involved in the pot.
      Position matters less multiway than HU.
      Hate me if you want, but you seem to be brainwashed by GTO 😆

    • @jcohen6625
      @jcohen6625 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@paalsandmo9728 great squeeze candidate unless the PFR is extremely tight. Folding is slightly better than calling but it's close. And position DOES matter even more in multiway situations as our hands will realize equity very poorly when we are OOP against the entire table.

    Why didn't you raise that KJcc hand on the flop in position?
    Esp. with KQdd7c flop - pretty draw heavy board and a lot of turns could potentially be bad. Must realise equity on the flop and get more money in and have the betting lead as well.

    Hey Bubba, Ricky here! This may be one of my favorite vlogs to date. Clear and reasoned decisions presented well. That being said I think you could have gotten called by worse in the 88 hand while in position? Not because he had exactly K5dd but that he could easily have smaller pairs that become bluff catchers. It’s pretty thin but I think a bet of 30% pot will receive a fair amount of crying calls. Also worth noting he will have very few bluffs/check raises here after checking the river. At the very least he folds and you don’t have to table your hand.Be an interesting lab query. .

    See we have to theorize a little bit more on the rationale behind AJ, suited or unsuited. You said that he should have a lot more flushes once it came in on the turn, so you checked it for information but he played it how a "thinking player" would if the lottery landed in your lap. Hindsight is the root of all evil in this game, we know, but I swear Ace-Jack would be the title of a bestseller that materializes the mysteriousness of hands such as that on the button. In the long run, he should probably be betting more, but the super fine line of deceptive playability is my biggest interest.

    Southpoint plays 2/3 and 3/5, good room and usually good action

    In my experience, when people are playing on their phone after a bet, it is usually a bluff. Referring to the KJ of Clubs hand.

      Or the exact opposite,actually people when bluffing are trying to get unnoticed,most of the time are starring at the board occasionally starring at your soul trying to intimidate you but when they show uninterested in the hand like watching their phone or looking around is a sign of strength. Speaking from personal experience,could be wrong

      @@eee4577 Sure, it could be wrong. Regardless, I've found this tell quite reliable in live poker.

      @@MarianoPoker As played it’s also a definite call. Best calling hand you’ll ever have in this position. Blocking the nut straight, top two pair and unblocking the flush draw throughout. This is a very exploitable fold

      KJ feels like a fold to me.
      Unless he’s capable of turning pairs into a bluff, I think he’ll have too much value.
      Sizing is also too large for him to have QJ or KJ.

    I notice that you dont get bit by A K, do you ever worry about that though? I see many pros consider this hand first a lot. Just curious your mentality on that.
