In 1978, my friends and I hiked to the top of the Pyramid of the Sun. It took an hour because we would have to stop and take breathing breaks due to the steepness of the steps and the high elevation. Once at the top, we stayed there to rest and take photos before our descent. Our guide was Adiseli, the 16 yo daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gamiochipi who had 11 children.

I appreciate all the effort that went into making this and the other films in this series, they are of great quality and really enjoyed watching them.
You skipped over Ireland, ancient country with many old wonders created by humans, e.g., Newgrange (Sí an Bhrú). An exceptionally grand passage tomb built during the Neolithic Period, around 3200 BC, making it older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids. It is part of the Brú na Bóinne complex, a World Heritage Site that includes the passage tombs of Knowth and Dowth, as well as other henges, burial mounds and standing stones. Contained within the site is the largest collection of megalithic art in Europe.Maybe next time it could be included.

Love the video, but Mt Rushmore was a holy site deliberately destroyed to punish the indigenous peoples and it should never have been built let alone preserved. The holy mountain should have been preserved.

I’d like to know how in the world were the outside walls carved on those monasteries? Mind boggling…..

    Nice video and presentation.
We heard narratives often enough the association of ancient and nighty architecture with religious as oppose to scientific. The implication is simple, to brain washing the audiences into religious respect and to worship the religious head equally mighty. Subconsciously this leaves behind a trend to the next generation narrators to do so.
After a life time watching ancient monuments I arrived to a consents, it was intended to be a science encyclopedia but fiction or religious.

And, what you wrote could very well be construed as “brain washing” as well. To allow the reader, or listener to get away from a “religious” point to one of science. I wasn’t there when these structures were built, and neither were you, so let those dead people lie in dust. The Aztecs, nor the persons who built these structures were not trying to persuade YOU, so your point is moot. If someone in modern times wants to visit these places and “worship” in their own way, so be it, if they don’t, then that’s okay too. If they want to climb to the highest point and check out the skies, well, that’s business too.

@@annaolivarez2578 please stop garnishing on religion’s hypocrisy. Wise men knows that religion is a peaceful scheme to first softening the enemy and recruit (rob) human resource of other regions (countries) under its developer region or political body. Can be taken as cold invasion by brain washing, not ruling out cold bio weapon. Ancient kings and rulers took it as a form of invasion.
