- Come with me as I explore the areas between Blowing Rock and Boone, North Carolina.
Supposedly the homestead of Jamie and Claire Fraser is east and approximately within 10 miles of Boone and Blowing Rock.
With some calculations and just north of the Yadkin River I hope to get you very close to the location of this fictitious homestead called 'Fraser's Ridge'.
Great site with loads of information about Fraser's Ridge and the adventures of Jaime, Claire and the whole cast of characters in Outlander .

She mentions several times how you could see the storms rolling in over the mountains hours before they arrive. Being near the rockies that has never made sense until I watched this. Thanks for sharing!
I just got thru watching Outlander on Netflix..I really enjoyed it..I did not know there was a real Jamie & Claire..and Brianna & Roger.. awesome...thank you for this video..so beautiful God Bless ❤️
The main characters are fictional but many of the supporting characters and historical situations they find themselves in are real. 🙂❤

Although the actual Fraser's Ridge was filmed in Scotland, this location near Blowing Rock, North Carolina certainly can make you feel like you are in the right stomping grounds of the Fraser Clan and all the families that resided on Frasers Ridge and neighboring communities.
It's probably the closest I could find that both resembled the filming location in Scotland and the description in the book. 🙂 Thank you for watching. We'll see what season 7 has instored for more location comparisons. 🙂

Yes..all of it was filmed in Scotland. 😀🤣 But! The fictitious location is in North Carolina where the story takes place. They also have a big gathering here in North Carolina for Outlander fans in this same area. Stars from the show come to North Carolina to celebrate Outlander with the fans. You would love this get together in North Carolina. ❤

If you're talking about real-life hospitals and not the TV show 'Outlander'. Both Boone and Blowing Rock have Watauga Medical Center.
