It wouldn't hurt, the truck would idle rough until the rest of the cleaner is burnt, spray and wipe as much as you can with a microfiber towel, don't use anything that can tear and end up in the engine.

I didn't recalibrate the throttle body after the cleanse, usually the ECU takes care of that if necessary, just try not to push the valve too much, constant spray should be enough to remove any grime, I noticed a much smoother engine after the procedure, it's important to remove those carbon deposits periodically.

You can clean the circumference of the butterfly by pushing it gently and releasing it gently. Never Allow it to slum shut.
Do you need to replace the gasket?
