The idea of Kal-el becoming Batman and Luthor becoming Joker makes this one of the best Elseworlds stories. Please make more of these Benny I can't get enough!
Why would Luthor suddenly be intrested in Gotham? To me bringing the same characters we know from the main universe is kinda boring.

I like the way that it portrays batman as a child lashing out to stop his parents from being hurt again and growing to be superman
Honestly, these old school comic stories are a lot more entertaining than a lot of the modern stuff. Not to mention, these graphic novel videos reminds me of the early days when I first started watching this channel back in the mid 2010s!

Idk about all that. Lois’s argument was that bats has all that power, yet he chooses to be brutal and hidden. Batman has to be hidden, he’s just a man, but Superman is a god amongst men

DC had potential to do a multiverse strategy long before Marvel with the popularity of Flashpoint and other world crossing events. If only Warners took time to plan how to use their properties creatively instead of trying to catchup with marvel

@@Dante-Balisk agree completely, marvel has their way of tackling the multiverse but DC/flashpoint especially is such a sick way to kick it off. It's a shame warner wanted to paly catchup and now theyre set back even more than ever.
As much as I enjoyed Superman: Red Son, I would love to see a live-action movie made of this Elseworlds story. Be it a feature or mini-series, it would change DC forever.

Because Lex was kinda chubby after Crisis On Infinite Earths ended the old Lex and the whole group of characters got rebooted by John Burn. All those storie just came out in ice hardcover collections, you should check them out.

@@ddl3718 he got shot, she got kidnapped and never got a chance to put 2 and 2 together. Plus the amount of time Clark will disappear, superman shows up, then Clark re appears after superman is gone and she still doesn't get it is numerous lol
Well, this Kal El let Louis touch his body, so when she saw Batman peck, she recognized them.
There's actually an explanation for that. When superman goes back to clark kent, he vibrates his face to make it look different compared to his superman face. Which is why in every comic no one figures out that clark is superman just by looking at his face.

In this world, Bruce/ Kal-El would clean up the filth that is Gotham/some of the world. This idea is basically multiplying BATMAN’s angry by god-level. So it’s Game Over all things considered. When I think about it.
I've been fascinated by this else story for years. Superman becoming batman before becoming superman was a weird but cool concept.
Such an interesting Elseworlds storyline.

Batman with Superman's powers sounds genuinely terrifying and would definitely strike fear into the hearts of villains.

I have owned this book for a decade. I've read multiple times and loved the eles world's stories. It's just awesome to see it like this.
Wasn't there an actual canon comic where Clark and Bruce found out their parents had met before Krypton exploded and Jor-El had initially meant for his son to go to the Wayne's but, the rocket went off course?

@@John-Doe-Yo it was an issue of Batman/Superman from back in the 2000s or 2010s I think. Basically Jor-El comes to Earth to see if it is good place to send his son and ends up meeting Thomas Wayne and they end up becoming friends. I think he got there by projecting himself or something because it doesn't make sense for him to physically be there or he could have saved his whole family.

Definitely a favorite in my superman comic collection. Not an overly exciting story, but given the batman/ superman debates and the whole world's finest super friends dynamic, it's a fun story nonetheless.
you know this version of Lex coul be real deadly, he even has a bit of penguin in him
I've had this book since it first came out in the early 90s, and it's one of my favorites, but no one ever talks about it! It's nice to see it getting some attention. Maybe one day we can get a Batman/Superman figure set based on this book.

I had ALL of these Elseworlds stories as part of my collection. About 5000 books, and ALL of it stolen in 2008. Thanks for the memories, Benny.

Lex looks like Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin
I remember seeing this book on the rack in my local drug store when it first came out. The idea of Superman being Batman was great, but the need to fuse Lex Luthor with the Joker turned me off of it then. I still think a Kryptonian Batman could work as an alternate world ongoing series with a string of different takes on Batman and Superman villains. It's a good story, but it could have been way better.
I liked this story when I first read it, and it is still as powerful today. Thank you for doing this one.
However, this isn't my favorite elsewolds (though it might be earlier, before they used the name). My favorite is "Son of Superman."
Superman disappeared. Right before this, he knocked up his wife (Lois). She raised the boy, without telling anything about his father, except for Clark Kent. The kid developed powers so she told him about Superman.
The boy misunderstood, and they had a bit of a fight, because he thought she was bragging about cheating on Clark with her superhero boyfriend. The kid rescues his father and together they find the truth and fight the split Justice League. It was one of my favorite Superman stories of all time.

Honestly two of the most underrated Elseworlds are Elseworld's Finest (1997) (its a two part story. One of the coolest batman costumes mix with Black Panther ever), This one Benny idk why i feel you , andy and dan will enjoy and talk about. I hope one day there a video on this. Just google it and youll see. There another one Andy might like its called Citizen Wayne. That one is about Harvy Dent became batman instead of Bruce, it a copy of Citizen Kane. I really hope the first one gets a video or you check it out. I hope you see this comment also and check them out.

I’ve tread this comic in a local comic book store that used to be here once, and I was blown away by the cover of the comic book this story is from, and it does catch your eye though, and those of you online who are reading this, and you’ve read this comic know what I mean, and this is a awesome idea for a comic book too; given I’m more of a Batman fan anyway, and Superman is cool to me also because of his powers, and this version is cool also, because he’s a combination of Superman and Batman, so this story is awesome to me, and my friend Jeff has read this story too👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻💯.
Favorite Elseworld, huh? This one is pretty high up there. And there's Gotham By Gaslight. Does Generations count as an Elseworld? I'm sure it does. That's an interesting one...to a point. It gets a little weird by the end.

Right meow I feel like Superman being drained by kryptonite. It is 8:30 a.m. and I just woke up in a weird position in my recliner. Last night I went to a show a circus show called Funnebulla . Yes it was fun to watch and we caught the 7:00 show. Right after that we went to Chili's and got ourselves some late dinner. All three of my family got a trio platter while I got a bacon barbecue hamburger with fries. I thought I got chipped because I only had two items that look really plain, but it was really satisfying and a lot that I couldn't even finish. I had to share the rest of my burger to my son. Funniest thing is I ate some of my wife's food. Before all that I got to play the slot machine with my wife and get a couple of drinks in Margarita drinks. I swear at the Beau Rivage when they make you a drink they put a lot of alcohol in it. I pretty fun, and also I made some money from two machines. It was very enjoyable night got to see a show. Got to eat out at a restaurant instead of waffle House last time. Meow I'm a little sluggish and it's hard getting out of my recliner. In a little bit I got to call my lawyer . He told me to give him a call in the morning so we could meet each other and discuss the case. I'm a little nervous but why should I be? I'm hoping things will turn out to be the best so I can get my new scoot scoot. I've already lost my little 300cc scoot scoots. This time around I'm getting me a 900cc scoot scoot. That's all I'm going to do on Monday. I got nothing planned. When Friday comes on I'm taking out my wife's friend to dinner. Of course my wife is going to go with me because she planned it taking her out. I'm sorry I kind of worded that wrong. Here I go again my wife is taking her co-worker out for dinner and I am tagging along because I like to eat out. We're taking her out because she is going to go have surgery pretty soon while after surgery she won't be able to eat much. We're taking her to and all you can eat seafood place in Biloxi. It's going to be so much fum. It will take her worries away.
It would have been interesting to see a Elseworld story that asks the question? What if (Thomas and Martha Wayne) had found and adopted the infant ''Kal-el'' not long after ''Bruce Wayne'' was born? In other words... What if (Batman and Superman) had been raised as brothers?

Would have been cool if it was Clark Wayne, still travelled and trained etc. Adopts Bruce Grayson.
Bruce trains etc becomes Robin, always spas with Clark etc. Is more of a tactician, fighter, ninja etc as trained against clark since a kid.
Luthor/Joker kills Clark and / or Clark becomes Superman.
Bruce becomes Bruce Wayne and Batman at same age as normal, but a better fighter, stronger, faster, kryptonian tech etc. Like Batman beyond due to tech but styled like original Bat.
How about "The Blue, The Gray, and The Bat"?

Kal-el (Bruce Wayne/Batman)
Bruce (Klark Kent/Superman)
Diana (Atlantian Princess (female Atlantians not a bunch shrewds about males, but instead take men to continue thier existence under the sea))
Arthur (a Jarl to a full continent of giga chad norsemen (yes, full on norse mythology))
The Lanterns (The Arcana (now have classifications in different fields of the arcane arts))
At this moment I am having trouble continuing this on the fly, so if anyone can please continue this with thier ideas for the rest of the Justice League of this universe big presh and much love.
Lex Joker was a little goofy but honeslty I kinda missed that with all this focus on "being realistic"
