- Join Matty as he takes on UDO's 20-voice polyphonic, bi-timbral analog-hybrid powerhouse, the Super Gemini.
The Super Gemini is UDO's new flagship synthesiser and expands upon the impressive sonic capabilities of its smaller Super sibling in every facet. Dual Synth Layers, 20 Voices, Premium build, Ribbon Control, Poly Aftertouch and so much more - the Super Gemini could easily score a feature film all on its own.

Great video, a modern CS-80
Damn that sounds amazing, although with the power of this beast that's not too surprising. I just wish the UDO guy didn't have such a set against including a display - just being able to easily see and update the mod matrix of an existing patch would be so much easier than figuring it out from the panel. I think the Dave Smith/Sequential synths get this balance of panel controls and display functions pretty right.
Couldn’t agree more 👍
watching his recent superbooth video with Sonicstate, it seemed he is still open to the idea of a screen. But this super series seems like they will never have a screen. To be honest, i dont really miss it and have become very attached to the workflow and know it fairly intimately 🤷♂️😅
I do agree though, the Sequential/Oberheim "6" series does do it well 🤙
I love that udo have no display.
Great video! Production quality is top notch as is the presentation. Gaby said the sound in the beginning are like 2001 sci-fi movie :) I think this synth is worth a few months of dining ramen at home, go for it!
Thanks V! Our marketing team is always trying to upskill our productions! This might be the pinnacle so far? I like Gaby's thought! I'd love to work on filmscore!! I think you are right about saving up and eat packet ramen at home for a while! 😅
Nice one Matt!
Sounds sublime as always…that Mod matrix lack of screen is a ’mood’ killer for me though. I’ll wait for V2 of the UDO range with ‘optional’ screen. Great quality on the video btw top notch 🙌
Thanks John! What a lovely synth right??
@@mattypaxton nothing wrong with the sound on that synth at all 🙂
Great vid and great patching! 🤩
thanks!!
loooove it! duuude
😂
Preset 6, cool
Thanks, Matt! I visited Turramurra Music Center recently and had the good fortune to meet Matt personally. He gave me a demo of the Super 6 and Super Gemini. I sat in Synth Bliss, hearing that Super Gemini through the excellent monitoring setup that is available at Turramurra Music. Super Gemini is on my watch list for synths. IMHO, the sound is first-class; it looks beautiful and has a friendly and inviting interface.
I wish it had a screen. Is there a librarian software available? If I could program and tweak it on my computer screen or iPad, that might encourage me more to buy one.
it was lovely spending time with you in-store, going from synth to synth and you looking for what suited your voice. The super gemini seemed to resonate very quickly with you! In terms of a librarian software, that's something i need to look into further myself and i understand how that would assist with perfecting you setlist of songs and patches. I'll investigate and come back to you :) Thanks for watching the video and visiting the store!
@@mattypaxton Yes, it was gracious of you to help me find the synth that would best suit my voice. I really like this synth! It would be great if there was a software editor - tweak with the sweet sliders and watch what is happening under the hood on an external screen like a computer or iPad.
I'm looking forward to my next visit to Turramurra Music Center. I'm currently in India, but I hope to come back to Oz soon!
@@srikrshnachaitanyaswami3625 did the gemini sound much different to the super 6 to you? It supposedly has more drive in various part of the circuit.
It's not everything from the Super6, at least according to doc, it can't load custom waveforms to LFO1.
Confirmed! Surprising omission!
