FSU is going to do what is best for them as their legal contracts allow them. They will go SEC in a heartbeat if ESPN can offer the SEC on a quicker timeline. That and to get out of all the lawsuits. I can see ESPN wanting to keep FSU in their stable and there is a simple fix. Re up the ACC contract as is until 2036. Doing so takes any losses FSU and Clemson leaving causes everybody else so there really is not GOR loss to mitigate. For essentially taking the GOR cost away from FSU and Clemson and to stop all legal cost, they go to the SEC. I don't think FSu would go PAC 12 on an offer like that.

If FSU goes to the SEC it will only because a deal is cut between the ACC, FSU, and ESPN that will allow FSU to go to the SEC without any HOR payout to the ACC. FSU would only pay the Exit fee of 120 million and ESPN may even be willing to assume some of that to keep FSU in a conference ESPN controls the media rights too and the know the Big 12 isn't an option for FSU.

Hey, not fair...Everyone hates Florida State, not just the Big 10. Give the rest of us some credit please.
By the way...you're just 100% wrong about most of your AAU assertions. There is no "in the running" to be in the AAU. And, NO, you can’t just "go get it"...a school must first be nominated by existing members and then must go through an extremely rigorous multi-year evaluation process. If the school “passes” that, then a vote is taken by the existing members. If the school makes it through that, it is then passed on to the executive board for final review. If the school passes review it is then invited to join. This whole process can take up to 3-4 years in most cases. And, its not like “oh we just missed it this year”, the whole process starts over each time…the school must be nominated again and then evaluated again and then voted on again and reviewed again…it is involved and very lengthy. Now, I’m sure if a school is nominated in consecutive years then they can likely breeze through some of the process and it probably would take a bit less time but we’re still talking a minimum of a year or so. And, they don’t just add schools each year or even on a regular basis. They convene once a year and then may or may not have nominations. There are only 71 AAU schools [out of 15,000]. Nebraska lost its AAU membership because they didn’t fund enough research & development over multiple years and were expelled. It will be way harder for them to get invited back into the AAU at this point. Conversely Syracuse withdrew from AAU membership but had consistently maintained their research status and followed established requirements in leaving. They are still in good standing and it would likely be easier for them to be asked back.

B1G recent expansion gives us the answer, an academic school to keep the presidents happy + a football school to make the networks happy.
Notre Dame + literally anyone is the exception otherwise some combo of:
    Academic: UNC, Stanford, GT
TV: FSU, Clemson, Miami (if no FSU)

He (ESPN) should know Florida State University viewership numbers is higher than any public or private university in the State of Florida & 2nd only to UGA in Georgia for viewership. For the last 20+ years Florida State viewership for the Regular Season tv viewership has not fallen below 9th. I would truly enjoy kicking Paul’s A_S!! All I would ask from you my friend is to sit on him after the A_S Kicking, while I put a good shining on that bald uniform head with sand paper!! Doesn’t that sound like B1G or Big XII FUN?!?!!
**SEC/ESPN Will be getting home & home series with FSU, starting with Alabama kicking off the 2025 Season in Tallahassee at Doak Campbell Stadium. The 120 days of negotiations began long ago for the ACC/FSU Case & a mediator was sent long ago. All that hidden aka secrets will be open to the public day-1 thanks to the Sunshine Law: The ACC Will settle with Florida State & I believe it will be $250 Million or less & that amount will include the exit fee. Again Circuit Judge John Cooper once me makes Decision/Ruling it carries the full Authority of a State of Florida Court of Appeal. Only the Florida Supreme Court could overturn his ruling. There will be a figure & Clemson & UNC & Miami could use. ESPN seems to have interest in a restructured ACC with OSU & WSU, West Virginia, and a mid country to join School/team to pick up. University of South Florida wants in on this new ACC. Florida State is B1G Bound, that is sound & sealed. A “New Actor” has entered the scene & making some noise & that is Texas A&M. How much faith & validity do I put into that is not great. But, Texas was a done deal & Texas was preparing their speech before, Texas A&M was informed. They’ve been not exactly happy with the SEC ever since. Who is FSU’s +1 ? Every SEC School/Team may Schedule FSU in football in Home & Home Series Out of Conference games with Florida State University moving forward. The FSU-UF Rivalry stays intact as the last regular season. Alabama will be in Tallahassee as 1st game in 2025. Georgia 1st game will be in 2027 Season in Tallahassee. ESPN will get some Florida State games. That is part of the package. 🐴🔥🏹. Hope that makes some sense.

ESPN also knows FSU is LYING to F the ACC in Court... and knows that F-ing the ACC is the SAME as F-ing ESPN.
FSU has BURNED that ESPN Bridge that leads to the SEC. So going to the SEC is OUT for FSU. And the B1G will pick up FSU on the CHEAP.
