  • After years of searching for a home and finally finding Koh Tao. Followed by years of dreaming and hoping to live here - I AM FINALLY HERE! And this time I am not leaving until someone or something forces me to!
To say I am happy is an understatement. I’m feeling better than I have in years. I even sleep well on this beautiful island. I haven’t felt so at home since my years in Goa, India.
I’m starting to make friends and have found a flat to move into once my month here runs out.
Hope you subscribe for the ride! Lots of island adventures to come. And once I am at full strength I will hit the road and go see more of Thailand and SE Asia.
I’ll always be honest with what is going on and hopefully make you laugh along the way!
Thanks for watching! This really is such an adventure for me!
    Clare/Cag x

@@CAG-TV I'm just saying what I saw and felt your positive energy. You are the kind of person who would be the last person I would think of wishing for you... That's because you already have a life that is comparable to any blessing in this world.🙏✨

aww Clare, I am so happy for you. You really are making the most of life. Your base, your bike, your flat, and that was most lovely was to hear you say that you have suddenly realised that you can do, just whatever you want - A

Hi Terry! It’s so funny - I do keep on having to remember to ask myself what do I want to do! Been so lucky with a few days of no rain and making new friends. Looking like lots of fun ahead! Xx

You can do it! It felt totally overwhelming and scary at times - packing a whole life up. But now I am finally here - it just feels right & I can’t wait to find out what happens next!

@@CAG-TV It is the plan. I just need another 18 months to get things in order and then I’m going to do it. I’ve only a little trepidation about things which terms me it’s the right decision.

The botox looks great. Injectors generally use way more than is needed tbh but you look fantastic!! You are brave getting out and about on your own, good on you! Isn't meeting people on Tinder all about hook ups... is there a 'mate's only' section? VERY cool to see a woman exploring the world on her own ( stay safe ) .Congrats on the flat, good to hear there is a great community of expats, I have found expats on small islands to be really clicky ..hmm maybe not clicky so much as ahhh bored and a pretty small community, kinda gossipy ( generally that is ) and I have always liked a bit of distance personally but I think Koh Tao looks like a decent size and I am sure you will have a ball. Keep us updated!

Thanks so much for your fab comments - made my morning! So glad Botox doesn’t look weird - it does feel a bit weird!
It seems that lots of people use Tinder to find friends while travelling. There isn’t a mates only section sadly. But some people write that they are just looking to meet people - rather than hook up.
I know what you mean about the ex-pat communities. I lived in Goa years ago and it got so sad making friends with people on holiday - who then leave & you miss them - that the long termers end up sticking together to avoid that disappointment. It’s been pretty amazing - as soon as people heard that I am sticking around - they have been super welcoming and friendly. There seems to be a really nice mix of people here - lots of creatives as well as divers! Haven’t heard too much moaning or gossiping - yet!
Shall definitely keep you posted! Videos are out every Wednesday and Sunday. Thank you for watching!

Oooohhh great to hear that there are lots of creatives! Yeah I lived on a boat for a few years and the hardest part was saying goodbye to amazing people when it was time to move on! Though the people you meet is also the most amazing part of the whole experience so well worth it. Really enjoyed your vids! Look forward to more@@CAG-TV

The water looks lovely! So inviting ..I did like koh tao more than koh phi phi. Having a bike is going to help a lot getting around.
Curious if you have been to koh lanta. Was wondering what it's like compared to koh tao.

Not been to Koh Lanta yet…. Do enjoy the TH-cam channel Sweet Life Lanta.
Will definitely be visiting other islands once I am properly recovered from the last few months. I just fell in love with Koh Tao the moment I met her…

I have been thinking of moving to Koh samui and interesting to see Kao tao is a short distance. If I moved I will probably buy a condo. Please do tell more how you manage to have long stay, I understand that to have 1 year visa we need 800K baht in Bank account before they even approve visa.

Hi! Thanks for watching! It’s hard to advise you as I don’t know your personal situation. People out here long term are mainly on: education, business or retirement visas. In my case I am currently on a multiple entry tourist visa that last 6 months, but requires me to leave Thailand after 3 months. But as my son is in full time education we are sorting out his education visa & I will be attached to that as his guardian. I believe the government are changing visa requirements so it is well worth keeping your eye on the news.
Looked like lots was for sale on Samui when I was last there - might be a good time to get out here in the rainy season & find a deal! Good luck with your move - you won’t regret it!

I have been to Thailand many times. From my visit to Koh samui I really love the place. I have taken early retirement in Australia. I feel I need to go and live overseas. @@CAG-TV

@@yenriver5255 - sounds like the retirement visa would be your best option. It’s so lovely out here - do it! Xx
