There is an issue with skin whitening being in Asian products. I can obtain these things at a hugely inflated price. Can get anything here if it can get on a boat now…. But to have western choice & shop at real price is a mainland privilege..! Mouthwash just ran out! Thanks for watching!

Hi! Thanks for watching. Eddy is in Portugal at his villa at the moment & I’m in Thailand. I know we both will say the same thing. You cannot really compare. They are 2 of the best places on earth….! Both have so much going for them. But: During the hot season here Portugal seems very attractive…! During winter in Portugal - you will be dreaming of Koh Tao… Both have fab beaches, food and friendly locals. Portugal so wins on wine….. Not very helpful - sorry - I love both!

There are so many wonderful places to stay. Hard to recommend due to not knowing budget etc. I loved staying at AC2 on Sairee. Here on Chalok I would recommend Fishermans. Top tip: find hotels on Bookings.com. Then find the hotel on Facebook and ask them what they charge directly. Should save you some money. Thanks for watching!

Thank you for your comment - I worry about it too. I always use factor 50 on my face (even in UK in winter) and use 30 on my body (but do sometimes forget). The most important bit is that I don't sunbathe. I do stay in the shade, but out and about you cannot avoid it! I worry about my health more than ever out here as we don't have proper facilities for anything serious. Thanks again. Cag

I was lucky and travelled shortly after covid when cruises were getting back on their feet. 10K?! I know I paid under £1k. No balcony… Wow. Sad - because I would love to do it again!

This island is so full of things to find. I still feel I haven’t scratched the surface. Ollie the owl stayed 4 nights at animal rescue and then managed to escape his cage. Full hopes he is doing well - but the plan was to release him closer to home so 🤞🏼 Eaten so much chicken! Lol. If I feature food - it means it’s good. I don’t think there will be a low season this year! Currently it is a bit quieter - but not as much as normal. I know…. Chatting to some kids they said everyone was talking about Koh Tao on ‘the road’ - so they came to check it out and learn to dive cheaply at the same time. The island struggles at peak times. Water and electric are pushed. It seems the whole of Thailand is busier than normal. I can’t blame anyone for wanting to be here. I am… Thanks for watching. Yes, the elite visa is sadly out of reach. I think Thailand is the only country that makes you want to be 50 so you can get a Retirement visa! Shall update on the situation as it changes! I am not sure how many times they will let me... Nobody knows. It is a worry and I am hoping to get on my son's Education visa soon - as he studies full time in Thailand. You have 2 clear options for your 5 months: Do the eVisa (pay £150 + your flight to KL + fill in the forms with correct photo + 1 visa extension) Now you only need to take the KL flight and do what you were planning there and you can return for the rest of your 5 month stay. or Do visa on arrival and do 2 visa renewals & 2 visa runs during your stay. 4000 Baht per visa run if you do it land like me. 1,900 Baht for 30 day visa extension for both options. Hope that helps?

Hi! Thanks for watching and apologies for slow reply. Burma/Myanmar is sadly not really open to visitors at the moment. The war is still going on and I am told that the boarder up North is closed and people have to go to Laos instead. I will definitely be doing more travels rather than doing this bounce. But it is currently the easiest way for me to extend my stay in Thailand. Last time I enjoyed 10 days in Cambodia!

Hi. On a normal Tourist Visa you get 30 days on arrival for no money, can then extend for a further 30 days at immigration for 1,900 Baht. Giving you 60 days in Thailand. Then you need to leave the country. If on an eVisa (like I was in the beginning - £150 in my country) you get 60 days on arrival + extend for further 30 days = 90 days. Then you need to leave Thailand. This visa is valid for 6 months from issue date and you need to prove you are leaving the country with an onward flight. Hope this helps - but you need to check the rules for your own home country to be safe. Thanks for watching!

Thanks a lot for your response! i was also looking at the £150 evisa, but i noticed in the small print it said you could only be in thailand for 90 days out of every 180 per year or something, thats why i was wondering if the border run was still possible on that visa. Which you did, right? So you basically get another 30 when you re-enter? DO you know if you can extend that also or you just have to leave and re-enter? Sorry for all the questions but its difficult to find definitive answers about this online. Thanks for you time :)

Hi. The eVisa only allows you to stay 90 days before leaving the country. (30 more than visa on arrival) 60 days when you arrive + 30 days extension. Then you have to leave. I went to Cambodia. Or you could do the visa run. Then you get another 60 days when you renter Thailand & are able to extend for a further 30 before having to leave again.

You can extend both types of Tourist visa by 30 days before having to leave. Hope that helps?! If you come to Koh Tao - do contact Island Travel about your visa runs - they are super helpful. Link in description.

@@CAG-TV are you able to live in Thailand the whole year by doing visa runs?

@@forestchild3511 I don’t think so. Possible but certainly not guaranteed. I know that immigration are getting stricter and stricter. I’m not really in a position to advise. But from what I can see is that it became more relaxed over Covid but now the country is at times over saturated with tourists, it is getting stricter. I never came here planning to stay on a tourist visa so long. A missing piece of vital paperwork has been found so I can hopefully attach to my Son’s Education Visa as his guardian shortly. Not helpful to most viewers… I see people having to leave Thailand (they were warned when re-entering the country that it was the last time). It also depends on how the person in immigration is feeling the day you meet them…. Sadly nothing can be guaranteed but it is a testament to the country that we all go through this bother to stay!
