    Hello Jason, I do love your building, first the idea to take parts of your HO layout to make new one in the G scale sci is just "génial" and you are the only one who use "stop rust" to make ..... rust !!!!!!

    Hi ya Jason. I remember watching 2001 when it came out. And I was thrilled that Krubick used contemporary companies in the future. Example, PanAm as the spacecraft. So I’m really digging what you are doing. Just a note for my fellow modelers in California. Where it’s hard to buy certain kinds of form. The package you opened at the beginning, with the 6 pieces of foam, is a garage door DIY foam insulation kit. The Red Hook zoid repair company building came out wonderfully. I look forward to whereever and whenever you take us next. See ya. Take care.

    Challenge me? Heck, I didn't even know this was a thing. Would have been neat to do way back when I was still collecting all the figures. Then again, in that point in history, scene building was for trains & all the Star Wars stuff was whatever Kenner coughed up. Now you have me wondering.... where did I put everything? Might have to poke around for that stuff one of these days. Regards!

    Hello Jason I am getting started to educate my self with three D printing but I am at a lost on how to proceed I understand the basics and how it produces the object that is created but I am totally ignorant to how you imagine a object in your mind put in lets say on paper from that point how do you proceed from this point forward obviously its all done with a computer but how? at a loss any tutorials or illustrations would be very helpful THANK YOU your work is impeccable from a loyal viewer.

    I absolutely love this concept of tying the two layouts together. Got a question: when you started the Sci-Fi layout, did you think of them as being connected? Or did that idea come later on? In any event, it's fantastic!

    No idea what the light situation is in this room, but do you think painting clouds on the ceiling would give you a similar effect like the backgrounds on your H0 layout? Random thought seeing it sit there flush against the ceiling.

      I know, it bothers me. I think it would look cool to paint it black and then paint a Star galaxy on it. Maybe even some planets. But I’ll probably sell the home some day so I have to think of resale. O well, I still enjoy it!

    As usual, it's fantastic Jason! I am always fascinated by your sign work. This one is amazing, but how in the world did you cut the Star Wars alphabet letters? They're so small. I would rip them apart in the cutting process no matter how sharp my cutting tool is.

    I love the Sci-Fi-diorama series!
    It is just something special you can't see often on model train channels...
    And I especially like the aspect of re-using garbage and household items to create these scenes.
    But here, to be honest, for the first time I'm not really happy with the result.
    I think, you should have coated the styrofoam pieces before painting to soften the texture and make it look more like clay or concrete.
    Now, you can still clearly see the styrofoam texture, which unfortunately destroys the illusion a little bit. :(
    But overall, still an amazing project and great work!

    • @JasonJensenTrains
      @JasonJensenTrains  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much Dennis!!! In the future that texture may be an exact match to material that they use to make structures and it will probably be recycable. They have large, very large 3D printers that make cinder blocks and maybe some day this is what it will look like. That’s the great thing about modeling sci-fi, anything is possible. Thanks for watching Dennis!!! 👍
