    Well done... these work well as they have an unusual shape and don't instantly register as cat litter containers.

    Great project! I've found that the toothpaste masking is best removed by rinsing the parts in water when possible. It cuts down on the slippery coating left behind by the toothpaste.

    Nice idea! I will have to borrow this for my own prop room. I personally love toothpaste as masking agent. You don't peal it, you just run it under warm water and lightly wipe it with a washcloth.

    I get the same cat litter. Thinking of using the container for a mando armor

    Yay!!! Thanks for your kitten video - always welcome! And that's a lovely, happy wife&kitty pic :D
    (Other people's animal videos have helped sustain my morale throughout lockdowns and long Covid.)
    And the 'waste nothing - repurpose anything' ethos chimes with me, big time. Brilliant!

    Cut the containers down around the first or second bevel then turn them on the side it makes for a nice handle. Make the cap openings light ports with some RGB or leds and cover with some type of lens. Then use the ribbing front for a panel partition with other greeblies parts. Nice little project.

    Great video Tony. I did a similar project for my first video. I guess great minds think alike! Where did you get that handle for the spray can? I need one of those!

    • @fullentony
      @fullentony 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Jamie! I just watched your video and wow! Crazy how similar they are… except for my cat video of course. lol Lowe’s has the handles in their spray paint aisle. It definitely helps!

    Yeah, unfortunately, toothpaste doesn't peel. It's ok in a pinch, but latex is definitely better.

  • @kylekuhn5882
    @kylekuhn5882 ปีที่แล้ว

    You don't peel toothpaste, you just wash it off with warm water.

    3:33 "Ivory Black" - What sort of stupid name for a colour is that!?

    • @DockingBay327Build
      @DockingBay327Build  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree!! It’s been a while since I posted this one so I had to go back and double check it. I confirmed that is the actual name of the color from that manufacturer… doesn’t make sense to me either, but I appreciate your comment and for watching the video!!

    • @ekij133
      @ekij133 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DockingBay327Build The people who come up with colour names are a special sub-species. I remember getting something that came in "Green, Red or Brown" from the picture but I didn't recognise any of the three colour names on the order form and had to look them up see which was which! Would it have killed them to use "Green/Red/Brown"? ... apparently.
      Thanks for the video and taking the time to read and respond to my comment.
