    I JUST dropped my 2nd ever song and it's about the FBI in the United States. th-cam.com/video/kNXSvx9V5u4/w-d-xo.html

    7:33 - Ed Sheeran STILL gets love from the UK rap scene, he's got a track with Stormzy, Aitch, and Jaykae called Take Me Back To London (Sir Spyro Remix.)

    Oh hell yeah! This is my favorite song and performance by Ed Sheeran.

    What a lot of people outside of the uk don’t really know about Ed is that he came up in the uk grime scene when he was first starting out. When he finally broke the US he was seen a just another ‘pop’ singer, but damn his back catalog and earlier work is on point

  • @thetalantonx
    @thetalantonx 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

    9:37 - From "In Da Club" to Laid Blak's "Red". He is showing respect to the songs that informed his come up, and he's doing it his own way.

    Actually just watch ANY live Ed sheeran performance...his live performances are on another level...his soul comes out everytime, every song

    He wrote this when he was 15 and couch surfing. Definitely has houses now

    At that time he was living on his mate's sofa. His mate died last year, Ed wrote a song about him. Worth a watch 😎❤️💛💚🖤✊🏿🇯🇲🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

    It won’t be popular, but Ed has a lot in common with Ren - musically gifted - honed with thousands of hours of practice.

      I always think if Ren didn’t catch Lyme and continue the contract with Sony then he would become another Ed Sheeran

  • @thetalantonx
    @thetalantonx 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +17

    3:45 - It's aimed at his ex-manager who tried to make him more marketable by making him more vanilla and Ed clapped back after saying no and staying himself. It's basically an industry critique overall but there are specific shots at the ex-manager and the sort of hyper-polished acts that the labels do retain and push.

    Words become redundant when trying to explain just how talented this man is!
    Just when you are thinking he’s had his day and won’t better the last song or album he comes out with another banger!
    I remember seeing this when it came out and it blew me away at the time and still does today!

  • @thetalantonx
    @thetalantonx 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    11:36 - Yeah, Ed's working his magic here. That elemental chaos bringing up the energy with layers and layers of complexity approaching that perfect oneness out of which he drops into "Red." And then as he comes out of the little prayer, he drops right back into building up the magic again.

    Ed is definitely one of the most talented artist out today. When you go to a concert it's done mostly on a loop pedal, created that night in front of you and then erased. Every concert is it's own entity. You don't get that canned pre-recorded stuff that all the other artist are doing. Check out F64, its a tribute to Jamal (his best friend that helped launch his career but passed away unexpectedly).

    When Ed Sheeran was unsigned he was playing all the lical venues in East Anglia
    My son used to follow him and he always spent time with fans
    My son asked if he would play music at his wedding
    He said if he was free yes
    He got signed just beforehand so couldn't but he always seems to be friendly and straight forward

    Saw him live a few years ago, Bloodstream was epic live, just him alone on stage with his loop peddle. (Live iheart radio theater.) Loved Castle on the hill, just one of my personal favourites.

      Room for both. Ed isn’t cool in the UK, but no denying his talent and his work with Devlin - used to ignore Ed, but since Ren - I’m digging him more.

    Yeah Ed started in the Rap busking scene way back check some tunes with an artist called devlin, they're as real as you can get.❤from the UK 🇬🇧 oh yeah he lived on Devlins couch! Now you know!😂

    Feels so good to watch someone realize why we all love and respect him so much. I don’t think anyone on the charts next to him right now can do what he does (or have tried, at least). He’s a musical beast and an incredibly humble guy. He also songwriters and produces for a ton of other top artists. And yes, he used to couch crash when he was a young songwriter that no one knew, so he has been “homeless” before.

    Apparently the time he did actually live on a couch. It was Jay-Z's couch though so probably a decent couch. This is just what I read when I started to wonder the same thing, so I do not know how reliable this info is.
