So excited for you to go to New York! I don't know why but I fully cried when the curtain came down in Bake Off and they showed the orchestra 🥣

I saw Heathers on Friday with my teenagers and their boyfriends - we all loved it!
FYI Crumbs and Doilies has a shop in Soho - so you don’t necessarily need to keep going to the GBBO musical to get more of their cakes 😁

I once saw a concert in Victoria, BC, where they stuck a symphony orchestra on a barge in the harbour. People were watching from little boats and on the shore, and they did the 1812 Overture WITH ACTUAL CANNON. I think they were like half a mile away and had to be carefully timed so the sound would reach us at the right time. It was super cool, and I would absolutely watch a piece of theatre staged on a boat!
I’m having a bit of a stagey week this week and I’m very excited! Going to London for 2 days and seeing GBBO and Back To The Future, and having dinner at the theatre café diner after seeing it on some of your previous videos. I’m also excited for my GBBO cupcake now 🧁🥣

That's so cool that Crumbs and Doilies is doing a tie in with GBB. I follow their youtube channel and I had no idea they were working together. They should publicise that more. This was a great video. It looks like you two had a busy but fun week.

The stage you are thinking of is the Seebühne at Bregenz on Lake Constance. Which happens to be in the twin town of the new city of Bangor in Co. Down where I am from.

So someone tell me where I recognise the guy with the beard from fisherman’s friends, he appears right at the beginning of the vlog?? I’m excited for going to fisherman’s friends here in Cambridge! Thanks again for a FUN, HAPPY video! I have been trying to find a map with all the theatres you go to to get the feel of how far you travel. I am jealous of how well you do this. Everytime I go to NYC, I try to stay within walking distance of the theatres so I don't have to take trains, buses etc. That scares me. I did finally need other transportation to get to the Public Theatre on my last trip, I used Lyft, it was pretty easy! I too, as the comment below, cried at the Bake Off curtain call. I dream of it coming to the US. I think even if it is so British, all people can relate to it. Thanks too for all the extra perks for those who pay for your channel, well worth it!🥰😍🤩🍝🍰
So excited for you two to see NY. Hoping it gets to be the first of many trips to the states you end up getting to take. My usual touring theater announced their 23/24 season so I've had an exciting few days myself trying to work out what my priorities will be based on what I can afford. Oh & in honor of a certain show that is previews in NY right now have to go with 🔪🥧

When you said “if you don’t know where Richmond is” I cackled - used to have a 1 1/2 hour commute to Barnes every day 😂

🥄Finally went to see Heathers on Saturday (opted to see it in London but will must luckily caught it on tour too) had a fab time. Loved your outfit choice for the show (I had a colour combo going too, something for each of the heathers). Enjoyed your GBB content, was unsure about this when it was first announced but the more I seen and hearing positive things about it the more I want to see it. Crumbs and doilies are the best.
If you haven’t left yet as a semi regular transatlantic traveler my best tip don’t nap when you arrive you want your body clock to adjust ! And try and stay up till your normal bed time and buy some Melatonin gummies from CVS if you can get a good first night sleep sets you up for a much better trip! Also go trader joes and buy everything but the bagel seasoning
Melatonin is the best! Took one before my last flight home from NYC. Slept for 6 hrs and had no jet lag!

I saw a show called Cuisine and Confessionals (something like) a few years ago where the set had working kitchen appliances. The cast got people from the audience on stage before do chop veggies and during the show time help them cook. They made an omelet that someone got to eat. They told stories about the kitchen being the heart of the home while they baked. They also did acrobatics kinda like a cirque show. When the show ended the audience got to try the baking (banana bread if I remember correctly). Odd combo perhaps but it worked and the baking was pretty good.
