As others have mentioned had it not been for Webber’s knee injury this team wins the championship that season they most likely get two championships with this core. We had a rough 17 year drought. We once again have a good core to build on in Fox Sabonis and Keegan Murray. I hope to see us have some deep playoff runs and contend for a championship. Fox proved he is our Star Point Guard.
This roster was by far the deepest roster we have ever had obviously Bibby, Christie, Peja, Webber and Vlade were a great starting five we were easily a 10+ deep team. Our second unit was Bobby Jackson PG/SG Jim Jackson SG/SF/ Small ball PF in stretches, Hedo Turkoglu SF/PF Keon Clark C/PF Scott Pollard C. We also had Gerald Wallace who was young and athletic as a SF/SG. Damon Jones as a deep bench SG/PG Lawrence Funderburk end of bench PF Mateen Cleaves PG and I believe Jabari Smith 15th man C. Our second string unit could have probably been a 50 win team as a starting Five in the East at least.
Keon filled in nicely after Webb got hurt but we all knew deep down it wasn't gonna amount to a championship! This game represents the last of its kind. 04 Webb wasn't the same player.
This team probably could've 3peated if they didn't smoke the 2002 series vs the Lakers and Webber's injury in 2003. 2004 looked really good without Webber. They had the best record in the league without him til he came back. But I loved this team. I wish they could've gotten a couple
no disrespect AT ALL but the mavs weren't as elite in 03 as they were in 88 let alone equal to 1 and/or more of the royals teams led by legend oscar robertson
This was the very peak of the Sacramento kings. Then next game was the first step downward to 20 years of pain
Your right wish they won a ring !

Firmly believe the Kings were gonna win the championship this season, but we all remember what happened in game 2

Pain.
Seeing Chris with ice and a wrap on the knee is really shit foreshadowing
Chris Webber played AAU non stop growing up.Always looking for the toughest opponents
This is the last time they became legit title contenders.
Beautiful basketball by the Kings. Less dribbling on the floor. Nash and Dirk held the ball for too long, too much iso on the Mavs sides.

Them or the late 90s blazers !
@@eric3298 correct. They should've won that Game 7 in LA.
i thought mavs won this series?
