The guy climbing through the window was James Van Der Beek - the main star of the popular teen drama television series "Dawsons Creek" back in the day. One of the heartthrob during the late 90' early 00's.
Wow! I never have seen that but I think the Amanda Show may have had a spoof version of that show called "Moody's Point" and I remember someone coming through a window lol. I was too young to understand thank you for explaining and watching! -Mrs. O
@@TheOctobersReact What was even funnier about that joke of Van Der Beek coming to the window was that the song playing was indeed the theme from Dawson's Creek.
Yeah but that’s because they made way too many spoof movies as a cash grab around 2010. Epic Movie. Superhero Movie. Some 300 spoof. There were so many more. I love Scary Movie 1 & 3. I won’t try to defend the others
I went and seen this at the movies when it came out. It was one of the best theatre experiences I’ve ever had. We were all on the floor crying! It’s definitely a product of it’s time, it was a new millennium and it played on all those 90s slasher movies that came out a few years prior. You definitely couldn’t get away with making a movie like this nowadays. The jokes would offend everyone, but back then it was all good fun and made everyone laugh. Nobody took it serious or personal.
At 5:01 - you guys are too young to know him but his name is James Van der beek, the music they were playing in that scene was from his TV show from the 90s and early 2000s called Dawson's Creek
I heard that apparently the original ending of the movie showed Keenen as the killer, taking revenge on his brothers for not getting a part in the movie lmao.

Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer are the main films parodied here, but also Scream 2, The Blair Witch Project, American Pie, The Sixth Sense, Thinner, etc.
Scary Movie (2000) was the turning point for the comedy spoof parody genre. Watch Scary Movie 2 (2001) but after that, the quality goes down for the rest of the sequels as well as other spoof attempts by other film makers. But to help you understand the origins, here are the OG comedy spoofs that Scary Movie takes its inspiration from: Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) Airplane! (1980) Top Secret! (1984) Spaceballs (1987) The Naked Gun (1988) + Sequels Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993) Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1994)
Loved your reaction. This parodied a bunch of horror movies as well as The Matrix (the hanging in the air kick part), the Usual Suspects. There's a few in this series plus Not Another Teen Movie, Dance Movie or if you want old school you could try Airplane, the Naked Gun series, Spaceballs or Hot Shots. Enjoy!
The character Buffy was named that because the character she’s inspired by from IKWYDLS is portrayed by Sarah Michelle Gellar who’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer

The guy in the window was a character named Dawson on a popular show, called Dawsons Creek back in the 90s and he always climbed into the window of his female best friend. The song that was playing when he did it was the same song. That’s why it was funny when he popped up and said wrong set. This movie spoofed 90’s slasher movies like scream, I know what you did last Summer and other movies similar to that.
James Van Der Beek was the lead actor on Dawson’s Creak, a 90’s teen show. He would pop in the window of Joey Potter (played by actress, Katie Holmes). She also climbs in his bedroom window all the time. In the movie Scream, Billy (Sidney‘s boyfriend/killer) played by Skeet Ulrich, would also climb in his girlfriend’s window.

Casting Notes Fact: Jared Leto was offered to play Bobby during the early stages of casting. He eventually declined, in favor of doing Requiem For A Dream (2000), which also starred Scary Movie (2000) writer/actor Marlon Wayans. Marlon Wayans in particular has said that he and most of the other writers responsible for the final script never even read Seltzer and Friedberg's draft, after Keenen Ivory Wayans checked it over and assured them that it contained nothing worth retaining in their version. Deep Cut Fact: The "Whassup" scene is a parody of a Budweiser's "True" 1999 commercial. The commercial became an inspiration for other Budweiser commercials using the "Whassup" catchphrase up till the year 2002. Van Der Beek appears at the window early in the movie and I Don't Want To Wait (1997) by Paula Cole plays in the background, which is the theme to Dawson's Creek (1998) which stars James Van Der Beek. That's Hot Fact: Shannon Elizabeth said the director wanted to achieve a push-up look with her boobs so they kept making her wear tighter tops and bras that pushed them out as far as possible. But when the director wanted to add padding, she just turned around and said "Hey, do I look like the kind of girl who needs extra padding?" and the entire set just burst out laughing. So finally it's just her own healthy breasts that you see in the movie.

I'm glad y'all still enjoyed it without seeing the other movies referenced. Hopefully, you will someday. #TheOctobers #KeenenIvoryWayans #ScaryMovie
One thing about the scary movie franchise that makes fun of a lot of horror movies. If you haven’t watched the all some of the scenes you probably won’t know what they’re from.
There was an interview with Marlon Wayans that Harvey Weinstein produces movies, and then eventually took it from them. If you notice, after scary movie two it’s not the same humor because the Wayne’s were kicked out of the project. And I also love that they’re big brother directed the movie
If you liked this then you'll love the second movie, I have to say it was better than the first. Also if you love parody movies, then I recommend "Not Another Teen Movie". It parodies all those 80's teen films. Like She's all that, Pretty in Pink, all those films.
Not Another Teen Movie is hilarious and has quite a few actors before they were well known in it. Cracks me up seeing how goofy Chris Evans was in that flick years before he played Captain America. Same with Eric Christian Olsen pre NCIS Los Angeles.

lol we were 8!
I could dream this movie, seen it so many times but its actually even more fun watching other tears of laughter XD
Did you guys see the other Scary Movie's or planning on watching them?
I would love to see your reactions with Scary Movie 3
Thanks, Mr. & Mrs. October! 👻 Since you asked, I was 32 when this movie came out. Indeed, a good spoof movie can be so much fun. Not all work. This one does. I'm glad y'all still enjoyed it without seeing the other movies referenced. Hopefully, you will someday. #TheOctobers #KeenenIvoryWayans #ScaryMovie
One thing about the scary movie franchise that makes fun of a lot of horror movies. If you haven’t watched the all some of the scenes you probably won’t know what they’re from.
yes basically lol we found that out quickly !
@@TheOctobersReactthat’s good so you can watch all the horror movies you need to, and then watch the scary movies it gets funnier and more crazy
I literally quote this movie on the Daly basis 😂
There was an interview with Marlon Wayans that Harvey Weinstein produces movies, and then eventually took it from them. If you notice, after scary movie two it’s not the same humor because the Wayne’s were kicked out of the project.
And I also love that they’re big brother directed the movie
This movie always makes me Laugh and you're reaction also did that, Thanks for my smile. Cheer's 🇬🇧
thanks for watching 🩷
Wish y’all didn’t watch this before Scream. It’s giving away a lot.
If you liked this then you'll love the second movie, I have to say it was better than the first.
Also if you love parody movies, then I recommend "Not Another Teen Movie". It parodies all those 80's teen films. Like She's all that, Pretty in Pink, all those films.
lol okay we will check those out, this is a new genre for us lol
Please do the second one is so much funnier
Not Another Teen Movie is hilarious and has quite a few actors before they were well known in it. Cracks me up seeing how goofy Chris Evans was in that flick years before he played Captain America. Same with Eric Christian Olsen pre NCIS Los Angeles.
@@alucard624 agreed Chris Evans is Hilarious
I was 10 and I just laughed because it was so stupid. Now I laugh because I get the jokes.
This movie was unlike anything we have ever seen haha
@@TheOctobersReact You need to check out the 2 and even the 3rd. The 4 and 5th are bad tho
I’m sure we will see them all eventually haha
It's the best parody ever. It's genius.
@@marcioruas4036 4 was funny in parts. 5 was indeed really bad.
As much as I love this movie, Scary Movie 2 is my absolute favorite in the franchise. It's so over the top - and makes fun of more movies I love :D
we will check that out !!
Awesome reaction guys. Pls continue Scary Movie series ❤😂😂
Great reaction n new subscriber
It's sooo much better when you know all the references lmao
