    I understand why the multiV belt got damaged, but was the other one loose to get worn like that? Well done, fingers crossed. You can sit back, have a hot cross bun and a cuppa, and top it off with an easter egg. Then pop along to church and gain a few brownie points. Thanks, take care.

      Ha ha ha brownie points...The other belts just worn out. It should last longer surely. I've put new belts on now. Not cheap. Cheers for making me laugh.

      @@NarrowboatWill ive just done the same on my boat.. painted engine and engine bay but i had my engine taken out as just no room.. cost £80 to remove engine and same to refit... but i done all the disconnecting and refitting after...

      @NarrowboatWill  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@crossercuss1 wow that was cheaper than I thought. Still alot of work. I spoke to a marina this morning about getting engine out and new mounts and painting the bay. He said about a grand. We both saved loads buddy. It would of been so much easier for me to take it out. Did you have to pay mooring fees etc. Did you still have power on board? Cheers

      Ha ha just do lots of checking for things like belts and charging, you know, expensive to replace stuff. Thanks for commenting and good luck with your new boat.

    Will from a simple degrease and paint touch up you have discovered and repaired several potential future breakdowns. Can't beat finding the problems before they give you a major nightmare... Brilliant job, keep it up...

    Hi Will great job on the repair back in the day everyone had bent spanners they had made to get into nuts and bolts in dodgy places like you were struggling with. If you ever use that two pack paint again leave a long time between coats is stops it reacting but still looks good enough

    • @NarrowboatWill
      @NarrowboatWill  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I thought that. I managed to read the tin after wearing two pairs of glasses. Ha. It said wait 5 mins in between coats. Ideally I should of sprayed one coat then a light sand and wipe. Then a final coat but the paint only last 24hrs till it goes off. Thanks buddy
