About Cole & Charisma:
Welcome to the official Roll with Cole & Charisma TH-cam channel! Since the start of our relationship we've gotten a lot of questions about our experiences as not only an interracial couple, but an interabled one as well. It was so challenging to watch, seeing Cole's concern and Charisma's tired but brave face. Such a realistic view of marriage. I did IVF and had twins. They are 22. I was diagnosed with MS and had to inject both sub q and intramuscular and I do it all myself. It's surprising how you can twist to get your butt yourself! The first few times is really hard but it gets easy. Have someone with you the first couple times. I wanted to be independent so I was determined. Prayers for you both

Definitely need to hire someone to help with Cole. It's going to be beyond hard with a baby, twins, triplets, etc, even with all the love and good intentions in the world it will wear you down mentally and physically trying to do it all.
@Roll with Cole & Charisma it's worth every second of all the shots and drugs and feeling like crap. When you see those little faces it makes it all worthwhile. And if it didn't work the first try I would have adopted or fostered. I am thinking about fostering now.
Father God, thank You for Cole and Charisma and their willingness to share their lives with us. I’m so blessed and encouraged by them. Give them the desire of their hearts: a beautiful, healthy baby! Give them peace, strength and perseverance as they walk thru this journey, in Jesus name 🙏🏾

In Jesus name I'm praying you won't have to go through that procedure too many times. It seems to hurt Charisma and looks so uncomfortable. Watching Cole knowing. his wife is going through this painful process is stressful but the end results will be worth it all😙😙❤❤👵

Move your injection sites around so you don’t get adhesions. Rotate thighs and different sides of your stomach. Unless the clinic told you otherwise. Also if you give it a slight jab rather than just sliding the needle in may help.

Charisma you are a fricken warrior for pushing through this painful process, and it’s so beautiful how much you and Cole want to extend your family. I just know for a fact before this year is over you two will be blessed with a successful pregnancy. 🙏🏾 ❤️

For those who may be wondering, injections in the abdomen are subcutaneous and injections in the thigh are intramuscular. (Edit: I stand corrected, though less common of a site, subcutaneous injections can be done in the thigh being careful to not inject into the muscle) They are two different routes of medication administration. While many meds can be administered either route with the same concentration, it’s important to note that they are not the same thing. Some meds should not be administered by one route or the other. Dosage limits and concentrations may vary. Pharmacokinetics (absorption rate, onset of effects, duration of effects, etc) may vary. Follow the directions on your medication and the instructions of your provider.
Injections in the thigh can be SQ as well - it depends on the person and the equipment

It was good that you corrrcted yourself because I inject insulin subcutaneous into any part of my body
@@cluster5116 yah, I made the mistake of over generalizing. I guess, within reason, you can do subcutaneous anywhere you have skin. And intramuscular anywhere you have muscle. Obviously, different sites and different bodies have different constraints. The thigh is just the first place that comes to mind when giving IM and pretty far down most people’s list when giving SQ. Just from personal experience in healthcare… (starts pondering researching the topic… Experiences PTSD… promptly decides to burn APA manual🤣)

I follow a few people who have been through fertility treatments recently and one of the things I’ve seen was ice packing the stomach for a few minutes prior to doing the injection that you have to mix up yourself to help reduce the discomfort so may be worth a try Charisma. It may help the ones in the leg that burned in this video too. Thank you for sharing your journey to parenthood and the challenges faced when IVF or other treatments are needed. I'm glad that you guys are still trying after the trials and tribulations that you've gone through already. I know a little bit about what you're about to face and it's not pretty. I've given myself so many shots that after awhile it blends together. Then there's the freaking pills. I won point I got to a pill scheduler with a morning, noon, and night sections. That might be where you end up yourself. It is quite the hassle dealing with all the medication.
One bit of warning I want to make is that often doctors use the first IVF cycle as a diagnostic cycle. They use the results of what they got to find tune the medications and improve the results the next time. Which is not something that the CDC tells you about. Even if your cycle does not end in a pregnancy, it will not be a failure. For your doctors will learn so much about your situation and what works for you. Good luck! I can't wait to hear about what happens next.

I went through this years ago. I also gave the shots in my leg. I was amazed that a person has to first be on the birth control while going to a fertility Dr. I wish you good luck and that you and Cole are blessed with a little one!! I will be following you in the weeks to come.

@@user-th3le6op4d It seems to me like they have more of a profit motive than anything because they won’t get paid if you get pregnant successfully before IUI or embryo transfer. I know that’s pessimistic of me to think but big fertility is a hugely profitable industry for doctors and big pharma!

As I’ve mentioned to you before, my daughter just went thru ivf last year, got pregnant with the first embryo transfer, and we’re anxiously awaiting my grandbaby girl to be born around May 19. My daughter said the process wasn’t easy, and it took a lot of time, money and patience, but it did work and never give up on your dreams! Keep us updated on the process! Praying for you both! ❤️
