    I 100% agree, comrade. I'm Australian (in the very heart of western democracy), and every election is just a perfomance between two parties which are essentially identical.

    • @talkingAfrica

      Western democracy is really just Capitalist democracy. A democracy for the few. And, it is this same democracy that has been imposed on Africa.

    Without economic democracy, especially in light of imperialism, democracy is a rich people's government and especially non-African rich people.

    I think this helps Africa better than what we call democracy, where the sitting government thinks about the next election.

    Simply a wonderful video, very well put together.
    I am from Latin America and can see many parallels between Africa and Latam. With our politicians it's a lot of talk but never any improvement. People are still poor, healthcare is on the verge of being privatized, and job crisis continue through the region.
    Your video has made me open my eyes on how superficial democracy is presented to the people. The whole process is a clown show, but they like to think the people putting them in power are stupid. Not so much now. Want proof? Look at the low voting rates of any country in Latam. People are fed up with the lies.
    Thank you again for the excellent video.

      Hello Kiara, it’s great to see your comment! There are indeed many parallels between African and Latin America and I actually have plans to make videos on that.
      Thank you for much for watching and for the kind words!
      You just gave me extra motivation to put together the videos about the common history of Africa & LatAm and I probably should dedicate it to you!✊🏿

    • @talkingAfrica

      Indeed! Both upright men who acted fully in the interests of the masses. They were actually friends, I believe. There is this speech Sankara gave in Harlem, New York and he pays tribute to Maurice Bishop, who was assassinated in 1983.
      Found the video(just a cut of where he talk about Bishop)

    SANKARA Sekou Toure & Nkrumah were right about a People-centered one-party democracy. Their work attests to this FACT💯

      How will a one party democracy work when there is only 1 party? 🤷🏽‍♂️

    • @talkingAfrica
      @talkingAfrica  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @user-cvbnm it will work because democracy is not simply about having two or more political parties.
      The essence of democracy is to have a government that rules fully in the interests of the people.
      All over the world, from the UK to the USA to Nigeria, you will find two dominant parties who do not represent the interests of the people but the interests of a few(capitalists)

    Perhaps a great deal of China's success can be attributed to the fact that the country is run and administered by people with Engineering degrees, having been well trained in the hard sciences- the objective of such training being how to make things work.
    The Western countries, by contrast, are owned by bankers and investors and administered by lawyers, whose training and inclination is based on the need to take as much as possible, rather than to give.

    • @talkingAfrica
      @talkingAfrica  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a very valid observation!
