    Hi, I applied for Ssdi December 2023/_I got approved in May, took 5 months.. I had back surgery last May 18th. 2023, its over a year and I'm worse before I had the surgery,. I have Stenosis and arthritis on my lower lumbar spine, I can't twist,I can't turn with out pain, always in pain. my left leg still hurts, and gets numb, can't walk for a long time. I'm 55/years old, been on my job for 35 years. Cook/Chef. I can't do what I love to do anymore, to much on my body. Its really depressing. I thank God I got approved, Ssdi says they will see how I'm doing in 5 to 7 years. I guest that's the CDB or CDR

    I just received a Disability Update Report today and i already filled it out. I have been on disability for 14 years now and have only been reviewed twice. What should i expect once they receive my form? It was only a series of about 4 questions, when in the past there was a lot of paperwork. Thank you.

    • @TheDisabilityDigest
      @TheDisabilityDigest  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there. After submitting your Disability Update Report, the SSA will initially screen it to determine if a full medical review is necessary. If no further action is needed, you will continue receiving your benefits as usual. However, if more information is required, SSA may initiate a detailed medical review. It's important to answer all questions honestly and to the best of your ability. If your medical condition has changed or if you've started working, be sure to include this information on the form. To prepare, consider consulting a disability advocate from us if needed: bit.ly/34wviJY.

    I was just denied my 3rd appeal. This is the 19th month and now I was told I have to wait another 12-17 months for a hearing and another 3 months for a decision. I will likely be dead or homeless by then😊😢. I have multiple conditions that I might not survive. Weeeee, thanks CA😅if anyone has any advice or could point me in the right direction, it would really help. I’m out of options, I already contacted a senator and state representative.

      @TheDisabilityDigest  12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm truly sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing. It's a difficult situation, and I want you to know that we're here to support you.
      While waiting for a hearing can be a long and stressful process, there are a few things you might consider:
      Critical Case Requests: If your health is in serious danger or you're at risk of becoming homeless, you might qualify for a critical case request. This could potentially expedite your hearing.
      Congressional Inquiry: You mentioned that you've already contacted a senator and state representative. They can sometimes help expedite the process through a congressional inquiry.
      Legal Assistance: If you haven't already, consider seeking help from a disability attorney or our advocate. They can guide you through the process and may be able to help expedite your case. You may start by clicking this link: th-cam.com/video/hvuYfG3Yj2w/w-d-xo.html.
      For more information about what to do if you've been denied, I recommend watching this video: th-cam.com/video/hvuYfG3Yj2w/w-d-xo.html. Hope this helps!

      @TheDisabilityDigest  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, your response submitted online for the Social Security Disability update report will still be reviewed. After submitting updates, it usually takes some time for the Social Security Administration (SSA) to process the information. The review times can vary depending on the workload and specific circumstances of your local SSA office.
      If you haven’t heard back within a reasonable time frame or if you have concerns about the status of your review, it’s a good idea to contact the SSA directly. They can provide specific information about the status of your update review.

    I have heart disease, congestive heart failure, coronary heart disease and a defibrillator at age 41. I was finally approved for ssdi I'm told and to wait 2-3 weeks,it's been 2 months.. They said it's under review but how long should it take?

    • @TheDisabilityDigest
      @TheDisabilityDigest  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is a waiting game.. and it can be stressful especially when you're dealing with serious health conditions. The time it takes to start receiving benefits after approval can vary.
      Once your claim is approved, it typically takes 1-2 months to start receiving your disability benefits, but it can sometimes take longer. This is because the Social Security Administration (SSA) needs time to calculate your benefit amount and set up your payment schedule.
      However, if it's been 2 months and you haven't received your benefits or any communication from the SSA, it's a good idea to follow up.

    My sister just got the Short mail update review Form. Her mood went from ok to rock bottom..
    Whats going on ? Confused since we saw this video weeks ago. -Thanks 🌸

    • @TheDisabilityDigest
      @TheDisabilityDigest  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It sounds like your sister may be feeling overwhelmed or anxious after receiving the Short Mail Update Review Form. This reaction is not uncommon, especially if the form is related to a critical or ongoing matter, such as benefits or medical reviews, which can feel very high-stakes.
      The video you watched weeks ago might have given a general overview or provided reassurance, but the actual arrival of the form brings a real-time need to respond, which can make the situation suddenly feel more immediate and stressful. It's important for her to carefully review the contents of the form to understand exactly what's required next-sometimes the anxiety comes from uncertainty about the process or the potential outcomes.
      Offering to help her go through the form, or suggesting she seek advice from a professional who understands the specifics of the situation, could help alleviate some of her stress. Being supportive and patient as she navigates this can also make a big difference in how she handles the pressure.

      Woah.. I understand that waiting for a decision after your Social Security Disability hearing can be a stressful time. While you wait, watch our very helpful videos, for instance, learn how your local representative could help speed up the approval process. Watch the Greg video to learn how it works: th-cam.com/video/3j3i7sfirdA/w-d-xo.html.

      Yes, if you have a pending case, you may still be eligible for payments under certain circumstances. It's important to continue following all guidelines and requirements while your case is being reviewed. If you have any specific concerns, it's best to consult with a representative or legal advisor to understand your particular situation.

      Yeah from the ones I seen filling. Wavier and a appeal is what information was given. The thing I went over a few times but they are taking years and then it's more than 5 years ago. It's hard to have evidence to show them now they want very large chuck of money as payments as of now they are taking the whole check to satisfy the overpayment

      It’s a flip of a coin, over 60 your chance of getting A review is slim i got approved in March, I’m 63
      The lady in SSA/BOSTON Kinda chuckled with me. She said don’t worry about nothing. My FRA is 67 years old, it’s not in their best interests.. so many cases, not enough employees. ( high turnover rate). Good luck 👍
