- This video is dedicated to the life of Ben Raemers.
I filmed with ben since we were kids with my first little video camera and upgraded cameras over the years until we were grown kids. We made edits with our friends under the name of VISI-TOR. But this ones all for you Ben.
A 14 year old me from the country side met a 13 year old Ben from a near by sea side town. We were just kids. We found the strangest things funny, and the weirdest things cool, and everything was nothing but exciting. We went skateboarding every day we could, we seemed inseparable and went from calling each other friends too becoming brothers. It seemed like we would never not be kids.
As we grew up we traveled together, drank together, and became just slightly more grown up together. And as I wacthed and filmed you become one of the world's greatest skateboarders, who was loved around the globe, I was always so so proud of .
But you never stopped being you, and never stop being my best friend and brother. You were there for us all. The most humble and gentle soul I have ever known. You inspired so many, loved by more, and will never ever be forgotten. I wish I could have just one more glass of shit wine with you, and hear you laugh just one more time geez. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH BEN. Goodnight my brother. ❤💔🙏

29?! Holy shhhh. That is so young. I'm in my 40's and I feel like I'm just now learning what life is about. At 29 I had plenty of suicidal thoughts,we all do, but please, PLEASE, stick around, life gets better no matter how bad it gets, the storm can only last so long.
I always love seeing videos like this that show pros’ progression when they were young. There’s something pure about seeing skaters before they were known worldwide, when they just skated for fun. The circumstances behind this video in particular are tragic but I’m glad it exists. Thank you ❤️

I never heard of Ben until I watched the Vice video with his sister. It seems like we may have crossed paths quite a few times in our lives accidentally, although I was a rollerblader, I grew up in Essex too and spent my days and weeks travelling all over to skate. What a ridiculously talented fella, its a real tragedy that his demons got the better of him, as he'll clearly be missed.
He was so sick and highly underated. This is a great tribute. Shows his progression very well.

I cant even stand on a board let alone ride one, and I wouldnt even claim to know much about skateboarding, but I do like to watch it, and its easy to see why he was considered one of the best. RIP Ben.

I watched Ben doing Pivot Fakies about 2 years ago (on my list to relearn), I thought he was awesome, such a lovely chap, so I watched loads of his videos, and was just blown away. Anyway - I was watching the Pivot Fakie video again tonight and I found this, so good to see him progress and become so so good, made me really sad as well because he just seemed like such a lovely bloke. Glad I got to see this, it's a really special dedication, I'm so sorry for your loss, Ben was one of a kind eh. When I get my pivot fakies back they're for you Ben.

i heard some skater talking bout him a few years ago. he said that if you took him to a nice perfect park he'd be eh-eh ok, but if you took him to a f@%cked up, janky park he'd rip it to shreds.
We all had such good time times growing up together skating, chilling and having proper laughs, if you know you know enit, rest easy ben ❤
I new this legend when he was a kid ..I was close friends with his older brother...RIP Ben, your gonna be massively missed mate. Another talented young guy with so much to give has left us...love ya bro xxxx

Found Ben raemers off of king of the road . He looked like a proper funny down to earth guy so I was really sad when I found out what happened to him . RIP

Been skating since 1989 and don't know who half the names are these days but I watched KotR series 2 a few weeks back and Ben instantly became memorable. Maybe it was his huge personality, perhaps it was the energy he seemed to bring, it could have been how awesome a skater he was, but most likely it was odd hearing an English voice among all the Yanks.
Then a week ago I heard of his passing and it hit me like a hammer blow. To think this guy who I had marvelled at for a bunch of episodes, who seemed to be just having so much fun and such a good time had reached a point in his life where he tragically decided to end it all.
Just so sad. RIP Ben.

Hey gorm, i have been in a bad place lately. I have been severely depressed, i used to skate but my paremts moved me around so i never established true friends. Skateboarding made me sane it gave me a purpose in life. I have not skated in over 10 years and i dont have a dime to my name to buy a water bottle. I come to you to let you know i understand his pain and if he was to just end it all it was not because of his friends but rather because of his family or lack of. I have alot of family but they dont give 2 shits about me and its pretty depressing. This is where your friends come in to be your family. Thank you dustin. mikey and riley for always being there for me when i was young. I have not had a real friend in 10 years and it kills me. Maybe one of you i can run into and become family

@@magicrganix4407 They are out there. but in unexpected places. also open up your horizon. and be kind to others (not too much, you might hurt yourself). and also look out for videos and tutorials on how to make yourself feel better. sometimes it's rooted deep but there might be things you can do to ease the pain. And, if you seem to not be able to find the right ppl around you, move if you can, don't let toxic environments get hold of you!! Wish you all the best my freind
