Formerly (and, in our opinion, mistakenly) dubbed ‘The Most Dangerous City in Southeast Asia,’ Klang lies west of Kuala Lumpur along the eponymous Klang River.
Join us for a splendid day exploring the city’s exotic bird trade, selection of Pakistani antiques, and picturesque mosque, Masjid Bandar Diraja.
mostly in this video you meet Indonesians.. in klang town you can also hear Indonesian sellers in mosques too.. but in Indonesia most of them say that their country is the top of everything and Malaysia is always insulted but the question mark is why there are so many Indonesian citizens in Malaysia
Because even the indons couldn't stand living in their own country
Sadly you missed the Old Klang City. It's called Little India Klang on the other side of the river, that's what the locals have been telling you along the way. The Fireman Captain probably worked at the 1890 Klang Fire Station on this part of Klang (guided tour available). To summarize things you've missed:
1)Sultan Abdul Aziz Royal Gallery
2)Little India
3)The former Chartered Bank building
4)Royal Klang Club
5)Alam Shah Palace
6)Church of Our Lady of Lourdes
7)Klang Convent School
8)Tengku Kelana Indian Muslim Mosque
9)Sri Nagara Thendayuthapani Temple
10)Klang Fire Station
11)Raja Abdullah Warehouse
12)Mangrove Point
Unfortunately, we only have so much time to look around. Thank you for sharing this list - I would love to return and see what we missed!
@@maxwell.carvernext time don't forget to try the local delicacies "Rojak Ghani Klang" and "Cendol Klang Since 1972".
Cheers!
@@maxwell.carver to summarise - nyehhh. id show u true OGs. like those with no phones n all....that just wait for an order. hells jyeah.
wow.. u just meet up a random uncle bawang..
bullshit title… no such place in msia which is deemed the gangster
Klang is not dangerous. There is a big police station where people from surroundings report everything including minor traffic accidents there making crime rates "high".
Yes, it's such a great place!
Not all Malaysian Chinese can speak Mandarin unless they went to Chinese vernacular school in Malaysia so they speak their mother tongue such as; Hokkien etc or simple English and Malay.
Understood!
They're telling you to cross the river, Klang is huge and there's another old town just across the bridge which you pass several times. There's old colonial buildings including the magistrate Court, and post office, train station, the Selangor royal palace and famous coffee shops, like really good coffee there.
Yes, it's a huge place! Unfortunately, we only have so much time to look around. I would love to return and see what we missed.
Uh-oh...looks like En. Abu Samah and Kak Efa want to be your matchmakers, Maxwell! Next time you go visit them they'll have all the single ladies lined up for you lol!
Yes, they were quite inquisitive on the topic!
It’s really impressive that you always translate in the subtitles exactly what the locals have said 👍👏👏👏👏👏 can’t wait for season 3!
I have a great team to help!
A singer and youtuber murdered near to the mosque while jogging in your intro 😢😢😢 his body found floating in that very river…indeed, Klang is a very dangerous place even for man…
😂 ohhhh scary
Iirc the police confirmed there was no murder, and the family didn't state the death. Rumour have it it's suicide, but unconfirmed by the family.
Haha, at 8:27 the bus conductor yelling "Kolumpo" which is short for Kuala Lumpur, not "Keropok" as you translate "fish crackers" in the subtitle😂. You have a good vibe and that's why ppl are so nice with you. Keep it up.❤
Ah, got it - thank you for correcting! Appreciate your support!
@@maxwell.carver Hahaha, I didn't mean to correct you, just wanted to share information because you seem like someone who appreciates language and its meaning. ❤️
You haven’t seen Klang until you reach Taman Goodwood!
We'll have to go back!
Talking and cuts are too frenetic man
Thank you for the feedback!

Gosh malaysians are so friendly. malay, chinese or indian, they're all the same!
Agreed - Malaysians are amazing!
In the old days they called Klang the Town of Crows becos there was many crows flying around & serching for foods in rubbishes.
Heloo Max .. welcome to Malaysia.. don't listen to rumors about Klang ..we are all lives happily here .. wherever in Malaysia
It's an amazing place!
You need to come back to Klang again. Klang is huge and is divided by the the river. The north side, which you have visited and south side, which you have missed. Many of the important sites in Klang are on the south side as per some of the comments here. And i can't believe u guys were in one of the best restaurants serving the town's iconic dish, yet missed to try it. In terms of safety, the town centre is pretty safe. Next time come back to Klang by the komuter train. It stops in the south side and the epicentre of all the must visit places in klang!!!! Have a pleasant trip around Malaysia and do come back to Klang!
Thank you for your comment! Yes, it's a huge place! Unfortunately, we only have so much time to look around. We definitely have to return and see more. Appreciate your support!
That was well-explained! Klang South is where it's at
@@maxwell.carver the other side of klang feature the little india area and the beautiful church of our lady of lourdes. Must visit there.
We apreciated it a lot, its a bullshit that people said Klang is a dangerous place, I just saw your video on Tiktok and came here to watch the full version...thankyou again and always welcoming you guys for the next journey here
Agreed - it’s an amazing place! Thank you for your comment!
Absolutely loving the unique content, guys! Your exploration of lesser-known places in Malaysia is so refreshing. It's incredible how you delve into the authentic lifestyle of the local people in small towns that often get overlooked. Keep up the fantastic work, and can't wait for Part 3 of your Malaysia trip. Make sure to come back and share more hidden gems with us! 👏🌏
By the way, I'm from Muar, Johor, and I really hope you consider visiting next time. There are some amazing hidden spots here that I'm sure you'd love to explore!
Appreciate the support - more to come!

I used to live in Klang for a few months. Its not as dangerous as people make it to be but it really is dirty though. 😑
It's a great city!
Whenever you met a Malaysian,
The Malaysian: 👍
I'm myself a Malaysian. I might do that as well
Boleh!
Rubbish! I have been there several times and trust me, we were walking around at night and NOTHING dangerous! Foods are fabulous and absolutely delicious and people are so friendly. I don’t go out here in San Francisco. Will be moving away in a few weeks. California is very dangerous not Malaysia.
Efa should be the formal tourism rep for Klang
She’s the best!
Dangerously friendly klang
Agreed!
I wonder that white peoples said ooohh i got malaysian friend, What is his or her name said for an example Lee Koh Eng
Then ohh i like malaysia cuisine, we ask what it is, said chinese noodles, or Hailam noodles or pork steambun!!!
You all can find/found those nearly in every states or Dryland on this earth, where you found Little China!!! Or China Town Even they may found'em under their very own NOSE HAIRS, IN THEIR VERY OWN COUNTRY. No need to come to Malaysia

Yes, the people of Klang are great!
The way to the river is long and winding 😂😂😂.This is how Malaysians give directions, not specific ,go straight,in front lah, not very far……😂😂😂
We took the scenic route!

As a person born in Klang, we claim this man my favourite American so far
This might be the highest honor of my life thus far.

WHY YOU NEVER PUT THE TITLE "White man shocks locals by speaking their language"?! SO HONEST TITLE SIAL
Pray for your success
Appreciate your support! As for the title - it's about the people of Klang, not me!
@@maxwell.carverI'm pretty sure he was taking a dig at TH-camrs like Xiao Ma with the clickbait titles 😂😂😂
