    I’ve just ordered the ASUS one for my ps5. 1440p id pointless considering the max out for ps5 is 2160, plus only a handful of games support 120hz so higher frame rates aren’t worth it. I will switch to an oled monitor in a couple of years when they are cheaper.

    I just got the LG 32gp83b monitor yesterday and I don’t like it . I play now on a 65inch Sony Bravia 4k supports HDR and VRR . I went cheap since it’s my first monitor but going to return it today ! The game play and the quality feel different from the Sony to the LG monitor . What monitor would you recommend that would give me the best gameplay and picture quality .

    • @CrediblePick
      @CrediblePick  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I am sorry to hear that the LG 32gp83b monitor didn't meet your expectations, especially coming from a 65-inch Sony Bravia 4K with HDR and VRR. It's understandable that the shift in display quality and size can significantly affect your gaming experience. Since you're looking for a monitor that offers excellent gameplay and picture quality, I would recommend checking out the ASUS TUF Gaming Monitor. It's well-regarded for its balance of performance and visual fidelity, and it should provide a more satisfying gaming experience compared to your initial choice. You can find it here: ASUS TUF Gaming - amzn.to/3GhFTrz.

    If you're buying a monitor in 2024 you should be looking at OLED. OLED technology is finally becoming affordable and no, you don't need to worry about burn-in with modern OLEDs as there are many safeguards in place to prevent it from happening. And panels are far less susceptible to it than they used to be. I recently made the switch and I don't think I can go back to gaming on VA or IPS. HDR looks absolutely amazing and GtG response times are down to .03ms. Prices have come way down as well and I'm sure that quality 4K OLED monitors will be available at or under $500 by summer.

    I recently played on a friends viewsonic elite monitor that was extremely good with graphics and how smooth everything was but the most notable difference was with this monitor there was a graphics setting on Fortnite for “allow 120 fps” that I have never seen on the monitors I’ve played on before. We both have the same console so can anyone explain what specs on a monitor would allow for that setting option? We both have the same style ps5 and I’ve never had an option for getting over 60 fps

    • @CrediblePick
      @CrediblePick  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The key feature that enabled the "allow 120 fps" option in Fortnite on your friend's ViewSonic Elite monitor is likely its support for a high refresh rate, specifically 120Hz or higher. To achieve frame rates higher than 60 fps, such as 120 fps, you need a monitor that can refresh the image on the screen at least 120 times per second (120Hz). Here are the primary specifications you should look for in a monitor to support 120 fps gaming with a PS5:
      Refresh Rate: A monitor with a 120Hz or higher refresh rate is essential for playing games at 120 fps. The higher the refresh rate, the smoother the motion appears.
      HDMI 2.1 Support: For the PS5, the monitor needs to have an HDMI 2.1 port to fully utilize the console's capabilities for 4K resolution at 120Hz. HDMI 2.0 can support 120Hz but is limited to lower resolutions like 1080p.
      Low Response Time: A low response time (measured in milliseconds, ms) reduces motion blur and ghosting, which is crucial for fast-paced games.
      Variable Refresh Rate (VRR): This feature, including technologies like FreeSync or G-Sync, helps reduce screen tearing and stuttering by synchronizing the monitor’s refresh rate with the console’s frame rate.
      Resolution: While 4K resolution (3840x2160 pixels) is ideal for the PS5, a 1080p or 1440p monitor can also provide a great experience, especially if it meets the other requirements for high frame rate gaming.
      Remember, to utilize 120 fps in games like Fortnite, the game itself must support 120 fps gameplay, and the console settings must be configured to enable higher frame rates. Ensure that your PS5 settings are adjusted accordingly, and the game is updated to the latest version that supports 120 fps gameplay.

    Why not include the AW2724DM - it does 1440p, 120hz and VRR for a reasonable price ($400 CAD on Dell's website right now). On a 27inch monitor you dont need 4k

      @kevinvera5004 my bad, I just saw this comment. I like it, I use it for COD and have watched a few movies through playstation Bravia core app through the PS5. It's pretty bright, no noticeable ghosting, contrast is okay but you'd have to get an OLED at 2 to 2.5 times the cost and that's not worth it IMO for a casual gamer.

    • @kylehooker3710
      @kylehooker3710 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @12dunner12
      @12dunner12 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @kylehooker3710 it does have 120 FPS and VRR at 1440P. The monitor isn't rated 4k. I can confirm it does work. There's a FPS counter in the top left corner you can turn on. For a 27 inch monitor you don't need 4K IMO. If you went up to 32 inches then I'd go 4K

    What the difference with VG27AQ and VG27AQ1A?

    • @CrediblePick
      @CrediblePick  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ1A and VG27AQ monitors have several differences. The VG27AQ1A features a 10-bit display, covering 95% DCI P3 and 130% sRGB, with a brightness of 250 cd/m². In contrast, the VG27AQ has an 8-bit display, 77% DCI P3, and 99% sRGB coverage, with a higher brightness of 350 cd/m². Both models have a 27-inch screen, an IPS display type, and support HDR10. The VG27AQ offers a height adjustment range and pivot support, which the VG27AQ1A lacks. Additionally, the VG27AQ1A has a slightly different set of features and ergonomics compared to the VG27AQ. These differences could impact your experience when using them with a PS5, particularly in terms of color accuracy, brightness, and ergonomics.If you need any more information then please let us know. IPS panel vs The G8 or G7 VA panel at 1ms with 2.1 hdmi 4K UHD with inky blacks it’s gonna have a better picture than that gigabyte VA colors are gonna pop a lot more and look more crisp specially on the Samsung G8 because it’s mini LED I know because I had the LG ultra 950-b and the G8 looked way better once I unboxed it and started playing on it so VA in my eyes is way better and a lot more satisfying then ips . Granted, IPS has better side view as far as if you’re not sitting in front of the monitor. But who sits on the side of the monitor or watches from the side of the monitor . VA is better when you’re sitting directly in front of it.
