Stevie and Jimmy played at each other’s concerts occasionally. (Stevie with Thunderbirds; Jimmy with Double Trouble.)There are some videos of them playing in a few smaller clubs. (Search SRV and The Fabulous Thunderbirds and see what comes up🤠)
That was fun and Stevie seems so nice and genuine, very sweet. Oh, and...watch the damn Cold Shot video!! Caught a fairly good gland at his hands, and wow they sure do look large and strong, even though he wasn't a really big guy. Born to play guitar. ☮️
Yeah, you need to see the Cold Shot video..... you should also be reactin to some Fabulous Thunderbirds..... Wrap It Up and Tuff Enuff will get you started...... lots of video out there of Jimmie playin with Stevie..... I think I mentioned Pipeline once or thirty times ;)
@@JustinPanariello .... thanks for the response, I know you'll dig it. I have one more super unknown SRV jam with W.C. Clark in Austin for another Austin City Limits show.... just SRV and a badass bass actually..... give it a shot. The jam is ridiculous in timing and fat fucking tone. Peace .
Definitely watch the official Cold Shot music video, and the official Superstition video. They are so clever. I can imagine the fun they had putting them together. Wish there was a video that compiles the outtakes, as Stevie Ray mentioned there was other funny footage that they ended up not using.

Stevie is the closest to Jimi than any guitar player, in my opinion, that captured that same same sort of musical spirit that Jimi did.
