Gone are the days when, on school holidays, we would leave the house with a pack of mates and be gone for the day. What we ate and drank I cant even remember but the water was out of a tap and if you took a vegemite sandwich you were doing great. My kids are adults now but what I used to do when they were little was pack a lunch and recess and leave it out on the bench for them just like a school day. That way you save on them constantly grazing and they can pick out the night before what they want in them. I would do something nice for afternoon tea like cake or nuggets or something.
I agree, I never remember carrying water bottles around when I was a kid only to school and sandwiches were always on the menu for lunch and we ever questioned it. It's nice for them to come home to something homemade, sometimes I make a cake or biscuits.
I hope your family enjoyed the NRL gf🏉...I thought 🤔 it was a great game! I ,too, was a bit shocked 😳 at the price of the frozen mixed vegetables and pies/sausage rolls. .. you'd expect the larger pack sizes to be more economical. 😮
We did enjoy the football, It was a great game. I was so disappointed Cronulla ( my home town) didn't make it to the grand final but got so close but happy Penrith won. The frozen foods are getting expensive.
Great haul Dominique. Thanks for sharing. My daughter loves mi Goreng. She has it as a snack after school. My kids go back to school next week and my shop will be a big one also.
I'm not sure about woolies, but cheezles go half price at coles very regularly... maybe get a few when half price? 😊 Do you like the mco bb cream? I've not tried that brand yet but theu have lots of goodies!
I'll check out the cheezles- thanks. The BB cream is good but I prefer the Rimmel I use, only because I've used it for years, MCo have lots of products out now.
Wow. Everything is so cheap compared to the USA. You can just add about $2 to every price you quoted. haven't seen doritos that cheap since covid and we invented the darn things! This world is comfortably in a handbasket and the US is seated in the front row. Geez. Like, totally enjoy the reasonable prices while you can. Vive la revolution!!
In Australia our prices have gone up dramatically, some times we get good specials but not as good as we did 3-4 years ago. I couldn't imagine having to pay (like you said) an extra $2 extra per item.
I LOVE English muffins 🎉🎉🎉
Me too.

I 🫶 price gouging groceries 🇦🇺
Bargain hunting is the best.
Good haul, love cheese but not the prices
Cheese is so expensive and it goes so quick.
I am looking to study in Australia and this video was very helpful to see what shopping for groceries looks like. Thank you so much!
I'm glad you found it helpful, good luck with your studies.
I don't shop at Woolies, I shop Aldi. So not knowing Woolies prices for some of the frozen items in your haul I was shocked.
There is a big difference. Aldi have lots of frozen options for a good price.

Food is certainly expensive, even here in the UK. We also pay a crazy price for eggs.
Tfs :)
This week I think I paid about $6.50 a carton- ridiculous.
I watched Rhiannon’s vlog & saw the Ice Magic too & hadn’t bought it for years so I grabbed some in my shop!!
It had been years since I've had Ice Magic too.
Omg yes why is making cakes soooo expensive 😢
Now that butter has gone up to an extreme amount it makes baking so expensive.
Great haul Dominique. Thanks for sharing. My daughter loves mi Goreng. She has it as a snack after school. My kids go back to school next week and my shop will be a big one also.
You're very welcome. I'm actually cooking some Mi Goreng noodles now for the kids Lol.

what you call shallots here in the US we call green onions or spring onions. HA
Here they are considered as spring onions too, I just by mistake always call them shallots.
i swear the steggles nuggets have changed! they r mushy and dont taste like chicken
I don't like the mushy meat either and I don't like it when nuggets have the grey chicken instead of white breast.
