For myself and my 25 year old son for 7 dinners for the week it came to a whopping $270. I had to get pet food drinks etc and I could not get it down any further no matter how hard I tried/
I remember 3 years ago I would shop for $120 and that included $30 worth of Cappuccinos plus meals for the week. It's insane so this Christmas we are having Ham, a roast at lunch time and something at the cheesecake shop. thats it oh and Potato Salad. Thats it I am over it.

I think everything has doubled in price, we are getting less for a costly price. Have a Merry Christmas and your lunch sounds delicious. It's best to buy the cake from the cheesecake shop- it's cheaper to buy nowadays and less work.

Have been missing your grocery hauls! Sorry to hear you've all been unwell. Next time you're in Aldi have a look at their version of yakult.. they have different flavours my kids love them

I remembered the other day Aldi sold them, thanks for letting me know.

Hi Dominique. Great haul and thank you for sharing. I hope your all doing ok. I'm guessing $450. I need to do a big shop also. My kids are on holidays so they are eating a lot and I need to meal plan also. I don't like gingerbread so I would love the kit kit cabin instead.

It's pretty easy to guess nowadays. I know what you mean, my kids are eating a lot too but mostly wanting snacks etc which is the expensive part.

Those Woolies desserts look great! I must say they do the best Xmas treats. I'll do our Christmas lunch shopping early next week so that it's all fresh.

Woolies are overpriced. I shop Aldi, but they have increased prices too. Still cheaper though. Where I shop Aldi and Woolies are in the same retail space. If I can't get something in Aldi, it is easy to walk next door.

Yes, everything is so expensive at the moment! Aldi has gone up too but they only have to be less than other shops and people with shop there. You do save a lot at Aldi and it would be great having them in the same supermarket area especially to compare prices.

@@homemakingwithhamptonnote we are at the mercy of limited supermarket options in Australia. What we really need is another player to enter the market. The problem is that our population is small, and probably not large enough to warrant an entry into Australia.

If u do trek to Woolies, could u put some in the freezer in snap lock sandwich bags? Obviously u would need freezer room! My freezer is an ongoing game of jenga 😂

That’s crazy, $25 for a kilo of grapes! They really have no flavour it's like eating sugary water. I would love to visit Tasmania one day, it's such a long way for you to go to the shops but it sounds lovely were you live. Merry Christmas to you too.

Yup, bacon has gone up AGAIN. The ww brand went from $10, to $11 to $12, then $13.50, now $13.75. It really annoys me. Their own brand museli bars went from $2.50 to $3.00 and fruit bars from $4.50 to $6.00 in a WEEK!! That's a 20% increase. So wrong at this time of year.
Hope you are enjoying time with the family 😊

Its crazy, the rise is massive and it's basically on every product you buy now.

Thankyou for the video. I like your hauls. But I must say, those caramel salted tarts are awful! I bought those for christmas, but I wanted something sweet one night and opened those tatrs. They arent that nice. There's not much caramel and too much salt. The pastry is bland. But maybe that was just the packet I got, who knows.

Thanks for letting me know, we usually make the the caramel tarts and they taste amazing. I thought I would just buy them and give them a go.
I might try them before giving them to my guests.
