Semper F1 1949 F1 Tribute Truck

Aaron brought us his 1949 F1 truck that's been in his family for a long time. His intentions were to make it a tribute truck of sorts to the Marine Corps and also law enforcement, both of which he served. The color is Devil Dog Blue named after the B-25 Mitchel WW2 Bomber plane located in nearby Georgetown, Texas. It's got Detroit Steel Artillary wheels, whitewall tires, air ride suspension, and a brand new 5.0L Coyote engine and trans from a late model mustang (actually crate engine). Hammerfab did all the work except for the paint which was done by Violet Crown Refinishing and High Point Powder Coating did the chassis parts black. Let us know if you want one just like it! Absolutely perfect in every way. I’ve got a ‘59 Chevy Apache Fleetside that was painted blue epoxy primer (PPG/DP60LF) , very similar to this color over 10 years ago and still looks amazing. A few weeks ago I decided to start replacing a few of the bed panels and install new bedwood. I ran into a big problem. That paint was discontinued a few years ago and it it now obsolete. I think this Devil Dog Blue could be my solution. Thanks for sharing the video. 👍🏽👊🏽
