Excellent work. Hard to believe how butchered up that firewall was. Wow. I just started doing cab floor pans on my challenger yesterday.
Some of the metal you took out is in better shape than the stuff I’m fixing. Lol. 😂😂
What you’re doing here is exactly what I’m gonna be doing on the duster though. Excellent.
Looking forward to the next one!

Thanks buddy! Yeah the firewall is a complete mess. I decided to fix it instead of replacing the entire part... might as well give it a try eh.

@@glassglowz That’s my attitude. If I try and I don’t succeed? I can always cut it out and replace it with new.

Very nice job. Did you find a place to order in Canada or it's imported ? Shipping fees are crazy!

Thanks! Yes, check out National Moparts. They're about a 4 hour drive away from me, so I just pick up my parts instead of getting them shipped to my house.

Hey is this project ever going to be finished? Like 8 years now... I've got 8 years older...

LOL... I feel the same way! It's getting there slowly. I'm pushing hard to get the body work finished up by this fall so I can get some paint on it! Just gotta finish up a few house renos first then I'm back on this baby full tilt! Thanks for watching :)

he's in same boat as me. having kids and a wife and a house to do major work on and other projects, it can really slow you down! Plus energy is finite and kids suck the energy out of you and so does a wife. So all that considered, he is making actually great and fast progress if you think about it that way.

I don't know why you are describing those patches as terrible. They look good to me. the metal is tacked in well, the bondo smoothes it out, the tar makes it absolutely last forever. I recommend the method the previous owner is using there. You criticize it for literally no reason I can think of. I'm excited to start coating things on my old car with Henry's Roof Patch. It is a tar and will make stuff NEVER rust again.

plus you can paint over it after it says!

I'm just not a fan of new layers over old crusty layers. Just my preference.

@@glassglowz I understand it is "against the rules" for restorations. But for an old beater it is the best way
