I had a 74 SE with black leather seats, floor shift, and a 4bl 400 from the factory. The last GOOD big block B-body. A friend of mine owns it now. Ive also had a 71 and a 68 R/T, 3 Satellites, and many other Mopars.
enjoyed every minute of this episode , my fav year of Charger ! 73-74 SE , would love to see some front and rear performance sway bars work on this one to see how much time will shave !
Getting some real "Wheels Of Terror" vibes from this car!! I've had a bunch of "72's through the years, but always hated the grilles they used on the '73 and '74.
It's nice to see the unwanted by collectors 1972-74 Chargers being put back on the road restored or repaired. The only big engineering change was insulating the K frame with rubber isolators. [Update; and rear iso-springs and the transmission mount].
On this week's episode of Bro-dkill Garage... 3:20 - pours/spills gas into engine bay 3:26 - arcs contacts to start engine Safety first! Or, second? Or, next? 🙂
Funny how motor trend kills everything it touches like discovery!!! They ran off Finnegan, friburger is touch and go, now they got dulcidge and Chris birdsong trying to save the views and bring more people. Give us back the real roadkill. Not this spin off
I’ve got a 1973 Dodge Charger SE I’m restoring with my dad and it’s got a freshly rebuilt 440 that’s hasn’t been ran yet this episode is my favorite, one question I got is how can I found out what the car came with originally? It has the plaque on the left driver fender but where can I go to find out?
The Fifth digit in the VIN will tell you what engine came with the car. Letters B, C, E are 6's, G- 318, H-340, K-360, M&P-400, one is 2bbl, the other is 4bbl. T&U-440, U being the Hi Perf.
Cool. My first car was a 1974 dodge charger. Loved it. Kept breaking front turn signals and beating up the valance. It liked to jump. Way to many good times.
I'm sorry, but this isn't roadkill if David isn't in this episode. He simply can't be replaced. Only seen 1 minute of this and already not liking. Don't know who these other 2 guys are and could care less. Didn't even bother finishing the episode.
@@jripjrip5396 your right I'm not. I love all cars, i don't follow the bandwagon of just liking one brand. Would it offend you if I told you I even like Honda civics and accords, even Toyota Corollas. But guess what, thats not all, even European cars. So Yea, your right, I'm not a dodge charger kinda guy, i like everything that has an engine.
All that's needed is a helicopter with an insane Sheriff tapping on your roof. Steve, you have the room and the money. Why don't you get a media blaster and use it ? The Charger at the slalom course remindes me of Starsky's Red Torino.
Were these motors smog motors from the factory? Curious on what kind of horsepower and compression they came with from the factory In the 70's, cool car
My daily driver is a 1982 dodge charger so any parts yall don't want ill gladly take off your hands. Or if you find yourselves in Phoenix AZ and want to help wrench on it
The torsion bar front suspension was and still is superior to the unequal length control arms, upper control arm/spring designs,...... and this car is worn out!
Never realized chargers were so slow . That’s a lie , some chick I knew in schools older brother had one minus the small block. It was faster than you think when traction was available.
With a 440 crank!! 451 cubic inch 531 reliable hp!! Nearly 600 torque (thats what I have)..50,000 miles on the combo and 19.5 mpg on the trips we go on 3 people tons of luggage doing 70 mph or higher to keep with the traffic flow!
Yep they went all corporate, extra lighting and better cameras. It's clearly scripted. Its definitely not the same. The way money changes things for the worst really bums me out.
haha yes. They are heavier than they look too! I ripped like 200lbs all easy of a/c junk out of my '68 t-bird. The compressor was probably half of it hahaha
A lot of the boatness comes from a lot of empty space front and rear because of the styling at the time. Ford Mustang, AMC Javelin come to mind -- 1971-1973,......................................
Dulcich has so much knowledge about old MOPARS it’s actually amazing.
of course he does, he's been at it his whole life...
Like Uncle Tony, but with so much charm and boyish enthusiasm! You wouldn't know the guy is almost 60!
@@jeffrykopis5468, But Steve isn't a know it all like Uncle Tony.
We can't take notes fast enough!
@@MJTAUTOMOTIVE Tony's entitled to be. He's a former editor at Mopar Action magazine, and a former Top Fuel crew chief!
I love the 73 and 74 models with the louvers, im basing off my modern 2017 charger off of them by giving it some throwback styling ques.

I agree but I would take a 73 or 74 today love them 70s chargers why underrated
they look a lot better when you takeoff the goofy bumper guards, front & back
Nothing against these guys but roadkill just isn’t the same anymore
This isn't Roadkill , this is the spinoff Roadkill Garage so you're right , it isn't the same.
Love that power-mullet!
I had a BB 74 charger with low miles around 1980 or so, yes it rode and drove really nice!
Love the upholstery. Gorilla tape also works till it hits 100 degrees 😮😂
The upholstery before the restoration... 🤢
Those are my favorite chargers. The bestest
That’s the first time Dulcich hasn’t got lost around an autocross course.😀
That's a tricky course!
It's nice to see the unwanted by collectors 1972-74 Chargers being put back on the road restored or repaired. The only big engineering change was insulating the K frame with rubber isolators. [Update; and rear iso-springs and the transmission mount].

IDK, lol
good question....where is the other guys?....if they aint in these videos I'm not interested
probably at home who f n cares
The Duke Boys Christine! 74 Charger what engine sounds like a small 318
Anyone else noticed that the seats were changed by the end of the episode but never mentioned
Beautiful specimen 👌 worth reviving 👍
The conversations on this TH-cam show seem a bit scripted. Lol
Only a bit? Lmao
almost jewish in a fucked up way
Sorry, not feeling the vibe but really nice Fig tree in the back ground
it needs rich corinthian leather
Or pastel fake fur ? 😊

11:20 look at the r32 skyline
No respirators, way to go. Not.
Interesting beard
I was “Like” number 1000. You’re welcome.
The sidewall on those tires need some tread. The car was practically riding on the sidewalls haha
Or just make the sidewalls racing slicks lol
@@Garf2O That would work too
Back in the day the 1972 to 1974 dodge charger was not desirable....But now with the shortage of classics their wanted now....
At the louvers on the window it looks like it's a Charger SE?
Super video.
What a classic.
Haven’t see. A full episode this decade
even professionals forget to tighten lug nuts lol
When does doing a few maintenance items and a wash = restoration?
