Great series! It's a daunting task to take a car fully apart and have to do all these major repairs. I had to do the same stuff on a 70 Barracuda. I feel your pain bro.
Those are strut rods. They basically hold that wheel in place for when you’re going down the road and particularly when you’re stepping on the brakes. They stabilize that lower control arm.
@@glassglowz just to add to Mikes comment- when you go to reinstall them you need to torque them to a spec once all suspension is installed. its critical- they rip themselves apparent if not.
I was not looking forward to rebuilding and replacing the door internals either, but its not that bad, just take plenty of pictures and maybe do one door at a time and use the other door for reference.
