Ol broadcast u say. Fine job sir, fine job. Smooth drum roller makes a drive or p.lot. look so much better. Not a lot I do though want to spend money to rent 1 for a day. But it gives it a finished product look like nothing else!!!!!
Wicked job man! i would have used the front end to spread everything from the top of the hill down but hey everyone has their own style!!!! again deadly job brother
YESSS u got that double steel drum roller!!!! Makes all the difference on final compaction and visual finish. BTW I ain't no KAREN..... the dump truck does the job for rolling but the right roller does the icing on the cake. You a tailgatin prodigy👍🏼
Have learned so many tips from you regarding water management and gravel road repair. Has helped us maintain our gravel road here in Murphy, NC. Thank you.
Dang this guy is good with that gannon box! I have a big skip loader with a 6 way hydrolic box with rippers on the back, and I can tell you that ain't as easy as he makes it look!!
Thank you for your help the other day with water standing in pot holes. I like the idea of using a packer to get rock pack down so you can see what needs to be done with the driveway. Have a great day be safe.
use used tires, also cut out the sidewalls of the tires, dig out the thickness of the tire, nail the tires together, then fill in the tire, the tire will keep the gravel in place and will never ever spread out because the tire will keep the gravel in place and even run over the area with no ill effect to the are or wash out, it will allow the water to seep through and will not wash out any gravel and never get a pot hole or wear out in that area..it also is very strong, you could drive an 18 wheeler over it with no problem any time. just my 2 cents, your job looks great as well. good job big guy...and yes you could also run the compactor over it as well....
Excellent video and project bud. You made it look easy but old-fashioned tractor grading like that is not so easy with your size tractor and tight spaces. Also enjoyed the compaction, hopefully the water cooperates for you in the future
Dang dude! That was a great job! The hydraulic top link is definitely a plus! I don’t have one, but I sure wish I did this past weekend. I did fine on the rough hogging/grading, but leveling the gravel would’ve gone much quicker if I had the ability to adjust the top link on the fly. The roller is a great touch too! Excellent work, my man!
#6:10 limestone what you call road bond is my favorite for building driveways. But nobody in my area wants to use it they all want a #57 what I call a top dressing rock. I thought R4s packed it good. That roller does wonders.
Nice work! Is there an attachment for a skid steer that you feel would accomplish the same thing as the box blade? I have a tractor with a hydraulic blade but I hate constantly looking behind you when working on roads. Once in a while it’s not bad but it can work on you for hours at a time. I was thinking maybe the 6 way dozer blade on a skid would be the ticket. That way you’re working the material in front of you and don’t have to look back.
I've been a kubota tractor fan for 25 years when I was 12 my dad bought a brand new one and he still has it and it has around 300 hours on it nice work on the driveway
Needs to be a ditch on the fence side of the driveway to channel water. That is why they are having the issue. Use the box blade to cut a small ditch and it will fix the issue with the water cutting across.
That turned out great. I feel like the compactor really adds that little extra solid base needed to create a nice long lasting driveway
You're one of the few driveway installers I've seen that actually take the time to build it up slightly higher in the middle for drainage

Great job do you come to north east ga
No, sorry
Is that road bond a crush and run type of material? We use tar millings mostly. They are best priced.
Are tar millings similar to recycled asphalt?
He said gravel not Stone 😆
Yes they screen it so no big chunks in it.
Looking good
