The spirits in the Alamo aren't evil. The site is always crowded with tourists, but every time I walk in, it seems like everyone disappears, and there is a hush, with just maybe hollow sounding footsteps to break the silence. I've never actually seen anything supernatural, but I FEEL them. Like gossamer threads over your side sight, you know they are there. It's a magical feeling, and the strange thing is, my ex husband, who is from Iowa, didn't experience it. He thought I was crazy. But, my kids, who are native Texans, as I am, knew exactly what I meant.
Oh, and Texas doesn't border Alabama.
And the Haunted Hill House is in Mineral WELLS, not Mineral SPRINGS.

I work in Palo Pinto county and I can confirm it’s being renovated and the haunted hill house is next door to it. It’s gonna be a loooong time before it’s done based on the fact you never see workers or anything, the lights upstairs change from time to time so I assume someone’s doing it little by little.

I have property out between Mineral Wells and Possum Kingdom. The Baker is such an iconic building for that area, and a lot of great restoration has been done in Mineral Wells. Hopefully the issues get settled soon and the work can resume.

Hill House is a very active location .In 2020 Renovations started at the baker's Hotel Renovations are supposed to be complete around 2024 it will be very interesting to see what they do with the baker's hotel . In the past years prior to the building being shut down the baker's lower level was used for individual small businesses . I Can't wait to see Bakers after the renovations . The new owners of the property has forbidden to anyone take pictures of the inside of the hotel while Renovations are ongoing.

I chaperoned my son’s school trip to the USS Lexington. We spent the night on the ship in the Chief’s Quarters. We heard the lockers open and close. At 3am in the morning we heard the clanking of tools and voices of the sailors working on ship. The only problem was, there was no Navy working crew onboard. Another parent and her daughter had their feet pulled on as they tried to sleep.

When she came back I could feel her staring at me but didn't think anything of it. The door the quarters slammed and when I opened my eyes she was sound asleep. The next morning at breakfast she asked me if I had issues sleeping because she heard me walking around and then slamming the door. I said.......that wasn't me I thought that was YOU.

In New Braunfels TX we have an abandon mill that is said to be very very haunted. I’m not too sure about the full story. However me and a few friends attempted to sneak in, but only one of us was able to get on the property before we had a brief run in with a police officer. The one who made it in took off running through a completely open docking bay. When we all found him back at the car, he had a very deep jagged gash across his arm. The number 3 story. There's a similar Legend just outside of the town of Canton Texas where I grew up where a Bus full of kids in the 1950s saw it on a railroad track and got hit by a train. That bus is in a field to this day next to the train track and if you go out there at a certain time of night you can see the bloody handprints of the children that were on that bus. And also if you turn your car off in the middle of the train tracks at around midnight and you leave your car still any neutral your car will suddenly move off the tracks and then when he step out you can see handprints on the back of your car. Supposedly this is the ghost of the children that died in the train crash pushing your car off the railroad tracks.

The ship has a nickname called the Blue Ghost because she sank 4 times but every time kept resurfacing plus too honor her (the ship) the crew and the air crew that served aboard her. I’ve been to the Alamo and I remember seeing a soldier outside of the inside area, I’ve also been to Hotel Galvez in Galveston. My family was staying there for a competitive cheer competition. While I didn’t see anything, apparently when I was looking in the mirror, my sister and our friend (both my teammates) saw a man in the mirror behind me dressed in 1900s clothing. Another one of our teammates stayed in Room 501 purposely and reported a few things as well. There’s also Athens, TX, where I’m from. It has a ton of bizarre and paranormal activity/history. My dad’s law firm, Weinstein Law, was built in 1898, 100 years before I was born. When I was 4 or 5, my dad and I were at his law firm late at night and I saw a full body apparition of a woman that looked so real that I didn’t know that she was a spirit at first. I was at the bottom of the stairs and she was at the top. I wasn’t scared at all and she gave off very caring energy. After she disappeared, I went upstairs to look for her, as my dad’s office is also upstairs and after not finding her, I asked my dad where the woman went and his response was, “What are you talking about? We are the only two people in the whole building.” He’s a giant skeptic, while I’ve always been open minded to the paranormal. I then realized that she was a spirit and never saw her again. I was actually a bit sad that I never saw her again, but I hope that maybe I helped her cross over because I was dressed in clothes from the 2000s and she was wearing an outfit of a maid/baby sitter from the 1900s and must have realized that. She felt like the type to take care of children, like she was watching me to make sure that I was okay. The law firm used to be a house when it was built. It didn’t stop me from telling everybody that worked there about it as a kid, though, which freaked a few employees out, but they never saw her.

I saw what I thought was my nephew Levi walking away from the group, so I followed him down to what I remember being an engine room and was calling out to him. He never answered and I lost sight of him. Turns out it wasn't him. Always creeped me out.

I lived in Spring most of my life and I remember most of the fires that have happened.
I even worked in old town spring for a few years and I was across the street from the old funeral home.
The only real spooky stuff that happened was the shop getting super cold in the middle of summer, but my co workers at the time had an experience. They said as they were closing up shop one of them had to use the bathroom and the other was waiting on them so they could turn on the alarm. It got colder than what we usually experienced and the one waiting by the alarm heard a little girl laughing and saw her standing by the door. She knew it wasn't a customer cause the store had been closed for 10 mins and she ran towards the bathroom to get my other co worker. Turns out the other co worker couldn't open the door and was locked inside and had been banging on the door to get her attention. They both struggled to get the door open and they both heard the laughter one more time before the door popped open. They turned the alarm on and ran out the door.

funfact: there are two 'screaming bridges' on Arlington. the stories of the two are often mixed (like in this video). The photos shown are from river legacy park, and most of the story, took place a mile away. In both locations, there were fatal car crashes, resulting in multiple women dying.

    • @jenx5870
      @jenx5870 หลายเดือนก่อน

I'm from Arlington, and I don't think they realize the hike they have to make for the River Legacy Park one. You can't drive up to it, and we do have cougar in the woods leading up to it. I walk the trails regularly, and I ran into a cougar in a clearing. You have to go off of the trails to get to the bridge, which is now in a severe state of disrepair, so you have to know which side to approach it from if you actually want to get on the bridge. The other one that they're talking about is on Greenbelt Rd., but the problem with that one, is that it also isn't the actual bridge the girls died on. The wooden bridge they died on, is now a culvert. Sorry, but Arlington doesn't have any haunted bridges. We just have a very beautiful park to walk through. We also have Six Flags, the AT&T Stadium where the Cowboys play, and Globe Life Field where the Rangers play. We have Ft. Worth and The Stockyards right next door. There's so much more to see and do than a couple of broken down bridges that had nothing to do with the accident, and therefore, aren't really haunted.

One chilly autumn night the most handsome man mysteriously appeared at a dance and swept all the ladies off their feet. Women fell into a trance while dancing ŵ/him and said it felt like they were dancing on air. When he finally decided which of the beautiful ladies he would end the night with, they went to the bar to get a drink. The woman happened to look down and noticed he didn't have normal feet, his feet were big hooves, she started to scream and the man smiled wickedly at her and made his exit STAT. With everyone staring at him, he bolted out the door and they saw him leaping from car roof to car roof until he disappeared into to night. When the car owners went to see if there was any damage done they saw all the car tops dented severely with hoove marks

It’s sad how many of these I’ve been to, but Im a native Texan.
Yes, the Driskell is probably haunted. I definitely saw something in room 525 when I stayed there after a party. It was just a smudgy shape, weird but I sort of shrugged it off. One of those corner of the eye, weird things. Granted I was drunk as a skunk at the time and so was everyone else. As for the painting, hard to tell, the equilibrium and balance thing was a given; I’ve passed that thing so many times I couldn’t tell you if it came from the daughter or not. (And truly, the Driskell is amazing, especially the bar; one of my favorite places in town. I grew up in Austin, this is not the only haunted place we went to, but it had the best trashy upscale cowboy chic around.)
Marfa and Alpine are the best little towns in Texas - they were artist communes in the 70s and there is art everywhere. Sure, go see the lights, they are cool, but stay for the art, great food, nice people and beautiful desert nights.
