    That OhPree-land pronunciation makes my head hurt…. I am in TN and cannot fathom how she could mispronounce the word when I even have friends in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, California, and various other places that would never pronounce it that way, and when I have pointed out this video to them and ask them how they would pronounce the word, they all can pronounce it correctly, so how she has butchered the name so profusely is beyond me.

    Two things, the clown motel is not very impressive. I grew up there, and the only thing that might make it haunted is it's proximity to the original cemetary of the town.
    Second, the hoover dam having bodies in the concrete is pure myth. The decomposing body would create a cavity in the wall which would create a weak point in the wall, and might even cause the destruction of the dam.

    • @taffykins2745
      @taffykins2745 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The walls are 660 feet thick at the bottom, tapering to 45 feet thick at the top. 660 feet is the size of 2 football fields end to end. At present, nearly 90 years later, the dam is still curing. Nearly 100 people perished, but because of the way the dam was constructed, it would be impossible for anyone to be entombed. Makes a good story though!

I've lived in Huntsville, Al just about my entire life, my friend's and I used to go there all the time when I was younger. The narrator of the first ten has obviously never been to Tennessee or been a fan of country music. The Gand Ole Opry is not pronounced Oh-Pree, nor is Opryland pronounced as Oh-Pree-Land. It's pronounced as Ah-Pree and Ah-Pree-Land, like a shortening of the word Opera. Ryman auditorium was first used as a church of sorts meant for large revival meetings and known as the Union Gospel Tabernacle.

    Try Menard prison by chester Illinois. They had the electric chair for a long time, also housed John Wayne Gasey, a man was crushed by a piece of the bluff in the walking area, several officers have been thrown over the galleries and on to the floor as well as inmates, not to mention the guy that had his eyes gouged out with a spoon. This prison is still open despite the illegal matter of it. They've been paying fine yearly to keep inmates double housed in single cells, in the segregation section of all places. So you could go to prison for a DUI, get caught doing something in the medium and get sent down to max and get killed by your new celly who has nothing going for him and is never going home. So this place has a record of being overcrowded and violent, and still is to this day. All kinds of messed up shit happens there. I lived there 2 years

    The Pioneer Saloon!! This reminds me about a public house I took on in the early millennium. It was called the Honiton Arms, and it was to do with the rugby 🏉 (there were shower rooms at the rear). At the time, it was a small type of local pub, with a trophy cabinet offering sports and entertainment, faith supper on sports nights. The locals called the place "The longneck," and this was commonly the name for the place. I was told that they know the place as the longneck because the landlords hung themselves on the stairwell to the living quarters. The stairwell was very creepy and always like freezing 🥶 at the top of the stairwell. It was a stockroom, and the temperature would be alright there. I never had any sighting of the supernatural. It was always major busy, I wouldn't have noticed anyway 😂😂due to the clientele being well turned! However, a few of the regulars had unexpected deaths by accident, and they were young. One guy that had been drinking there, little to much, but not actually bothering anybody and mood genuinely happy-go-lucky. He left the pub and went home to his house, climbed up his wooden hill (stairwell), and fell from the top and was fatal! I was only there for 12 months. The brewery made it into a restaurant type and upgraded the decor inside after I left, but it flopped.. trade died off. It didn't last. I think it got trashed. It's a place I can't raise the memory off, not even with therapy. 😂😂

    i could be wrong and it could’ve been one of the other ladies of the night story from washoe but if i remember correctly lina was actually murdered by the wife of the man who killed himself because she offered her services to him he accepted his wife got pissed and she broke a beer bottle and stuck in in her throat then the man killed himself because it was his fault for being a cheater now i again i could be incorrect and it was another incident with one of their lady’s of the night and a married man and his wife but from my memory that’s how lina died

    It's so sad that we've came to a point in time when we have so many sissies the word suicide is deemed offensive!

    This is interesting. But there are a few mistakes. Prohibition started in 1920 not 1914. Opry is pronounced Ah pree not O pree. The Washoe Club is pronounced Wa show not Wa shoe. Walked by many times while visiting Virginia City. I do wish she would say where these places are. Which Union Station Train Station is that?

    The Washoe Club Blue Lady (Lena) her killer was found and had a fair trail, of like 3 minutes, and was hung. He didn't kill himself. I went there.
