@@danielcrosby4035 Yes, and we only got Final Form in the old mold, aka 1.0, so he's correct saying we need a 2.0 Frieza with this body mold.
The articulation isn't even my biggest gripe with the hinge neck joints they refuse to get rid of. It's swapping his heads that's a major pain thanks to that joint.
1. I always save the packaging because it makes storing accessories and figures I have no room for easier, and if I ever have to sell it makes that easier as well
2. I would’ve passed anyway but I wanted to see one just for the photos people would make with him

My theory for the shoulder pads is because they didn’t want to have the joint to have a different color from the body like the final form frieza. So instead of having the armpit being a different from the rest of the body it’ll be the same. That’s just my guess.
I would have rathered it had a different colored joint poking a bit from the inner shoulder than have this overmechanical, over engineered shoulder pads. It's especially bothersome on his organic arm.

I keep the packaging from NECA and SHF in order to store the accessories, but I keep them in my closet. Packages for holy grail figures, however, are left out on display in order to remind of the large sum of money spent to get them.

Great review and I agree the articulation could be a lot better especially the legs/tail. For the questions I definitely keep the boxes most of the time for easier storage and resale. I usually only take out figures for stop motion projects. I definitely would like a Mecha Frieza but I don't really collect this line
good review, looks amazing, not a big DB fan but started watching it completely some weeks ago. I keep most of the packaging only boxes of some KOs are in the trash bin

I wanted mecha Frieza too. I passed on Full power, I think im done with Frieza now until Black.
I always keep the boxes unless they were destroyed in transit, which is rare. I've yet to throw away an SH Figuarts box to this day
I only bought this so I could pair it up with my Metal Cooler, but tbh I'm waiting for a 4th Form Frieza 2.0
Packaging goes straight to the recycling bin haha. Accessories go into a small ziplock bag if needed.

Keeping the boxes became too much getting used up so I place all the accessories in small ziplock bags. I also collect marvel legends and started putting extra hands, heads, weapons in index card boxes
My only issue is the legs seem a little short. Otherwise, I love it. It would have been neat if you got him split in two as accessories in some sort of special pack, but that's a pipe dream.

As most people here have said, I too keep the packaging for accessories and all that. Despite some of the flaws this figure has I absolutely love it
I keep the package for accessory storage or if there's cool box art. Boxes aren't included in my figure displays. I kinda just use them to fill in spaces on bookshelves lol
Im a bit of both in package and out its nice the way the figuarts are packed cause you can put them back in neatly to store -
I always save the packaging even though I never keep figures in them. I use them if I need to relocate my figures and I just don't like to throw away my packaging especially when it's pretty, because it's kinda like a part of a figure for me. Figure feels more complete to me when it still has its packaging somewhere.
Boxes for imports get saved for the off chance if I move. They have a safe way to be transported. All my accessories, hands, faces, all get stored in a drawer, in individual zip-loc baggies.
I don't keep all of the boxes. The Mezco tins and maybe 3 figures I think are going to hold their value. I used to have that fear that my figure would depreciate in value without a box, but then most Marvel Legends went on to tank in value over the years and I realized my figure would probably lose value anyway. It saves a lot of space and I keep the accessories in plastic bags sorted by: hands, weapons, heads, etc. I keep those bags in their own separate small cardboard boxes. Saves space.
Excellent review and very surprising rating. I could not buy it in presale and now its not available at an affordable price. Hopefully one day you have'll it as one of your cleaning sales.
Nice. The cut-in-half accessory is very very cool! I’d give it a 10/10 for that. I’m a box collector for figures that come with accessories. Some boxes gotta go, tho, like McFarlane, these boxes are massive and take up too much room.
Jus to let you know, I don't collect anime figures, or S.H. figuarts... but, I, like yourself, appreciate good action figures and I show my support by watching all the vids you put out, regardless of what line you're reviewing. The only videos of yours that I really dont watch, are the statue reviews, but you don't have many of those. I've literally watched 99% of your videos at this point. Lol! Sik

I save the boxes, the thought of throwing that seems almost insane to me
I always toss the boxes (except for mezcos) and I put all accessories in plastic organizers with modular dividers. Keeps everything neat, organized, easily accessible and very compact. Can't wait for Mecha Frieza but if King Cold doesn't scale well then I'll be annoyed.

I love my mecha frieza a lot but I'm really bummed that on half the head sculpts, the eyes were placed in the wrong spots, too close to the nose.. really running em for me. I wish there was a way to fix this...
I was filming my own review of this figure a few days ago, and i just think the tail should've been like the Godzilla SH monsterarts, so it could've been fully articulated.
And the butterfly range is still kinda lacking lol
I keep the packaging for Neca flip boxes and most imports. Basically anything over $35 unless it's something I dont have ties to like anime figs
I don’t keep any boxes. I used to keep a couple if the packaging was nice enough but I just don’t have the room for it and I have enough Figma and Mezco bags to store the accessories of all my figures so I just put all that into the tin boxes I got from my mezcos and keep them there. Also I kinda wanna pick this figure up but it’s not the top of my list tbh.
I don't really display the figures. I take them out to take pictures.
Then put them back in the box and put them away until I get an idea.
I keep mosyly just figuarts boxes, but I get all kinds. I recently got strongheart(thanks to your review) and I'll be throwing the box away when I open him
Any plans for the Sh figuarts Heat of Passion Berserk armor? Just got it recently and it is definitely an improvement over the previous Guts but still has a few issues. My biggest issue is that you still can’t really get him to hold the Dragon Slayer single handed. The old Figma one could at least do that even if it wasn’t the easiest thing in the world. I also worry about the joints getting loose over time. The proportions are supposedly true to the artwork but still seem a bit off, though he doesn’t look nearly as bad as the previous one.
i think i preordered him. if i did, ill review it. if i didnt, i dont plan to buy it.
I keep the packaging for imports and Jada Street Fighter figs, but not for Marvel Legends or WWE figures (my main collection). I think it comes down to the way the package looks for each individual figure, though.
QOTD 1: Except for imports, clean cardbacks and more expensive stuff, I don't really keep the boxes. For example, I did put back the figma Doom Slayer in its coffin because of how bad the legs were after meticulous inspection.
QOTD 2: If I had a Future Trunks, maybe I would have picked it up.
SHF and Mezco boxes are the only ones I've kept and definitely wanted Mecha Frieza! though it sucks they didn't do him with a scowling face they need to stop with giving him a million smiling faces... also why couldn't they use this metallic colouring for Meta Cooler
I like the figure, it's a cool new mold despite the time he appears in the show. Regarding the boxes, due to space limitations I just keep boxes with original art most of them importa or really HTF vintage figures. BTW bandai is taking so long in release some figures I almost buy this one in the secondary market but then I find out my pre-order email.
how do you feel about the fact that they didn't even give the split version its own legs, so people who display these would have to buy two in order to display both versions

I used to keep the boxes to my figures and keep the accessories in there but then I put the accessories in plastic baggies while keeping the boxes but recently I have been throwing away boxes to all of my figures
Looks great this figure hoping for 2.0 of Final Form Freeza also odd they went to the drop down hips on mecha frieza which is outdated.
i do keep the boxes just in case, and they are useful for transport, as for frieza... i don't really like the design but trunks cutting him in two is so iconic... i shouldn't...
Once full power frieza releases ill have every form, still on the fence with king cold. Now i just need 3rd form cooler and im good with z releases unless we finally get a kid buu and 2nd form cell. Im ready for more gt figures. Stoked for super 17
They should have just made the sliced Frieza it's own static accessory like the kid Gohan that came with Raditz. Giving you a whole body without the arms and legs that you have to take off the main figure just seems silly for the price point.
I have my figs out the box but keep the packaging. They look nice on a shelf and they are worth keeping if I ever come to sell the figures.

I just noticed the purple part on the left arm isn't smooth like on other part of Frieza's body.
I think they did the shoulder this way because of how the purple spot looks when it's part of the joint.
I keep the packaging since I tend to sell some off after a bit. I didn’t want this freiza. Didn’t order him either.
I want a Kid Buu. It’s so crazy they haven’t made him yet.
The tails are terrible I don’t mind the static tail idea but it’s frustrating to see the Monsterarts tail sculpts then get these.
And additionally we get the weird design decisions like tiny interchangeable parts for the heads when they don’t do anything and can just be part of the head sculpt.
Hopefully they do Janemba justice when they finally get to him

Anthony, I'm genuinely curious, what figure, in recent memory, do think had the best implemented neck articulation?
Just needs a custom head with the blue screen of death to match the abridged. I tend to keep boxes until I need to make room then it goes in a ziplock.

Those shoulder pads are definitely a case of over-engineering. No idea what possessed them to do that when past Frieza figures moved fine at that joint. It's really only an issue when they pop off. The purple one on my figure wasn't attached in the box and trying to get it to pop onto that flapping hinge it connects to was a frustrating experience that I hope not to relive. Aside from that, it's a good release driven by the aesthetics more than anything. I kind of wish the sliced in half inclusion just took the extra step of sculpting the full arms, legs, and tail. It's tough to figure out what I want to display since getting sliced up is essentially all this version of Frieza did, but it feels like a waste to have the Freiza torso just sitting in a box.

A bit nitpicky on this one. Its a good figure and the fact that you get a different frieza body to mimick when he gets cut in half is awesome

@AnthonysCustoms the shoulder pads, the tail, the leg joints, and the head articulation. Very small things compared to the overall figure, but it seems you like it, so as long as you feel you got your moneys worth, that's what matters. I'll be picking it up for sure to pair witg my future trunks

I usually toss the boxes, with a few exceptions for nicer boxes. Most of the time, I put the accessories on a labeled ziplock bag.

I think the figure looks good, i dont have it myself, but I have a big issue with the heads? why are they not complete? Do they really save anough money by not making a complete head and paint the parts? then if you happen to lose or brake any of the parts youre f**k. That for me is not a good design, its not like they give you any additional part to have a different look.
The design of this thing looks like he got thrown in the dryer with a bunch of sayan cloths and no dryer sheet and came with everything stuck to him.

Most figures from companies not called Jada or NECA aren’t worth the money nowadays, it comes down to what characters are worth it to you

Neca has never been worth the money, it has always been cheap, half-a*sed garbage, most US toy companies are, even worse nowadays

I did wanted a Mecha Frieza. Actually have a Jakks Pacific one and I do keep my figures in their boxes. Just take them out for a video or pictures. In their box they remain neat.
