I’ve heard great things about the Raceseng knobs! I’m personally just not a huge fan of how big they are, otherwise I’d definitely have one on the car! 👌
I’ve heard a lot of things regarding it. Stock clutch, shifter, transmission fluid, there’s a lot of ways to help it, and an aftermarket MGW shifter is one of those ways!
So what about the xpec regular profile? Did u get any feedback on that at all besides having a xpec low profile which is the max for short throws? Let me know man
I sat in a buddy’s ‘13 5.0 that had an MGW 1st Gen short shifter with the regular shift knob height, and the regular height is a lot taller than the low profile height. I like shift knobs closer to the center console, so mine was a perfect fit. As to the MGW X-spec regular profile shifter, I don’t know anyone with that model so can’t help much there unfortunately.
I drive a 2013 5.0, other than my CAI and steel braided clutch line its basically stock. Has anyone experienced when doing a 100% WOT pull, delayed power delivery in 3rd and 5th? All the "high RPM lockouts" are described as not being able to get into gear but I can get into the gear just fine. With the clutch out and the throttle all the way down immediatly after a shift the car doesnt start to pull for about 1-1 1/2 seconds. The return of power isn't hard either. Fast but gradual. I can't seem to find someone with the same problem. Car has 51k miles.
I've never really heard of that issue. I'd suggest doing some forum research on the S197 or even S550 5.0 pages to see if anyone has that same issue. That's a weird one!
How can people say this is a great shifter and say its very notchy in the same sentence? I had one installed in my Boss 302, and it was the worst mod I ever did. I am seriously thinking about removing it from the car.
The shifter has nothing to do with lock out...clutch assembly/stock clutch for a stock S197 is the issue. 6.500 RPM to 7k lol bro get your N/A game up SMH...
MGW makes awesome shifters. I have one installed on my T56 magnum XL; very notchy as you described, but you know you're in gear and there's no slop.
Precisely what I love about MGW so much! I wish I had a Tremec in my car, you’re too lucky!
Man, I am in love with your mustang, please upload more often! Also, you have great filming and editing skills
I really appreciate that! Love seeing comments like this. I'll try to upload more, should have some cool videos coming up here soon. Stay tuned 😉
@@MassimoO cool, definitely will stay tuned :D
I’ve never commented on a TH-cam video before. This video was so amazing I had to comment. Looking forward to the success this channel is bound for
Well thanks man! I appreciate comments like this. ❤️
YES it helped me. Especially about the shift knob and height.
Installed the MGW race spec x on my 2019 mustang GT with a Raceseng Ashiko weighted shift knob. Absolutely love it!!!

quality content brother. subbed.
Appreciate your support!
I heard the “high rpm lockouts” were due to the stock clutch ...

Can you show how the backup camera works?
As soon as I put it in reverse, it pops up as a screen in my rear view mirror. It’s a factory option.
@@MassimoO ok thanks
Yep love mine on my Boss 🤙
The best shifter out there for S197s!
@@MassimoO will be even better when I slap it on my Calimer Stage 3 with a 1 piece drive shaft 😁
@@BrailsfordsRides I just saw that on your TH-cam channel! That’s awesome, very jealous of the swap haha!
@@MassimoO it was a lucky deal from a good friend
Good luck growing 👍
where is the shift knob and shift retainer from ?
MGW
Does this shifter come with a shifter bracket? Or did you keep the stock bracket
Comes with its own entrapment, didn’t reuse any stock shifter parts.
What glasses does he have?

You should probably remove it if you hate it that much. Life is about happiness, Nick.
X pipe or h pipe?
at the time of this video, X pipe with high flow cats.
ford racing or this one
MGW all the way!

It’s no secret that replacing the stock shifter will improve the lockout issue.
